I don't know how you could even possibly defend those cooldowns, but okay.
I don't care how many new enemy Fiora players went 23/0/4 against you in bronze.
Telling people who have played Fiora for years that they miss how "easy" she was, is not only insulting, but it shows where you're at and that you aren't nearly as knowledgeable about this game as you think you are. Playing Fiora past bronze was far from easy. A funny thing happens when you start getting matched against high silvers and golds, they realize that she's a glass cannon. They knew not to feed her a few times early game, they knew shutting her down gave her no chance at a comeback. They knew not to crap their pants with her ult, and to be scared of QAAQAA instead. They knew a locked down Fiora = a dead Fiora. If she ulted during a team they knew to blast her off the map the moment she landed, no matter how much she healed. They knew not to stand under the turret when they have 1/4th HP left, and they're squishy to top it off.
When people stop making these silly mistakes, it becomes incredibly hard to play against as her. It's even worse when she's countered, which she frequently is in ranked. She was just high DPS carry, so if you were against a tank with CC, then there wasn't anything for you to fall back on. It became a fight to stay alive. Her entire game relied on her getting her damage items before anyone else, and that's incredibly stressful in ranked. I admired the players who were doing well with Fiora past silver. It takes a lot of skills to pull off melee ADC plays against skilled players that outclass you in everything but damage the majority of the time. I certainly struggled with that, and I saw other Fiora's fresh out of bronze struggle through the same.
Now on to her rework, many Fiora players love this rework. It's exactly what she needed. People always wanted Fiora to become a strong and reliable pick. The feast or famine thing just does not work after a certain point. Her gameplay has so much potential, and so much more depth than before. It actually has a lot of things in it that Fiora players were asking for. Soft CC, situational hard CC, and enhancing her whole duelist aspect because before she was pretty much an assassin with weak sustain. It's a great time to be a Fiora player for the majority of us, and we even have a skin coming our way.
There are a few things that are making her gameplay clunky, and right know the unreliable AoE heal is not enough of an incentive to choose her over other bruisers like Irelia and Riven. They are simply stronger picks, and we want Fiora to still be competitive. It seems pointless to take away her hypercarry potential only to make her a sub par fighter. These are very modest tentative buffs they are taking to her, because it's obvious to a lot of people that she has the potential to be strong, but her gameplay needs to be smoother than it is.
Nothing is wrong with people discussing possible buffs to her, especially when it's so obvious that Riot was a bit more conservative towards her than past releases, and you know what? That's great. I'm glad they went the modest route, and now it's time to talk about how we can make her worthy of her rework after we waited so long for one.
If you don't want to be part of that discussion you're more than welcome not to be. I don't even know why some of you are taking this approach. She's never going to be how she was in lower elos, so you really don't have a lot to worry about either way.
