Okay, I get the purpose that creep block serves...

...but can we please lower the minions' radius?

You can get effectively snared by just 3. It should take no less than 5 to completely prevent movement.

Currently, its just silly. CSing/harassing is way more of a gamble for melees than ranged due to how obtuse minion radii are. Considering melee are already at a disadvantage in ranged vs melee matchups, this seriously needs to be addressed.

I agree but for a different reason. Clarity. Pathing and minion block are unreliable to deal with. Sometimes you try to path through the minions and make it, sometimes you have to go around, sometimes it just makes you stutter in place for a bit even when everything looks to be almost the same.

What i think would be a good change to make is something like flow and resist. Allied minions do not want to impede you so the try to "flow" out of your path while enemy minions try slow you down. Minions stepping just a few units to either side like this would make for more interesting game play and would make it so your own minions don't randomly kill you anymore.

The problem with being able to control minion movement in this way is that you can easily manipulate the waves in a way that causes it to push in your favor (whatever your intention is). The insanely short range of melee creeps means you could easily deny (or attract) a few autos in order to cause a damage discrepancy between the waves.

Also, with how minion aggro works (if they're moving, their target usually becomes the closest enemy), it could lead to way more abusive cases of lane control that even jungle intervention couldn't help significantly with.

Yes and no, they would only be sidestepping a short distance to either get in your way out of your way so you the difference in how fast a wave pushes would only be equivalent to 1-2 autos. What i see happening with this is players have more options to react to in lane.

Lets say your are pushing and are in line with the melee minions and the jungle comes from river to gank. When you walk back towards your casters they will spread away from you and group towards the jungler potentially blocking a skill shot.

Now from the opposite perspective your are being pushed in and can only just get in range to hit the the melee minion. Your opponent side steps to send a skill shot on the outside edge of the minions. You can step towards your minions which will make them spread out and group towards your opponent and again potentially block their skillshot.

This change shouldn't effect how fast waves push it is more about making minions actually act like allies or enemies and trying to remove the annoying part of creep block where your own minions kill you.

Don't worry, high mobility counters it. Not like mobility creep is a thing. ... Oh wait...

@title I don't. I'm not trying to be salty, but I can't think of many and want to know.

The purpose is to keep ranged away from freely harassing as easily, but with how powerful range is in League compared to other games, melee suffer more for it, especially since the game is a lot 'snappier', allowing you to punish melee CSing much more easily.

Another is to prevent easily harassing past them under turret (which held more true in the past). League's gone bonkers in the recent seasons, making this not exactly applicable anymore.

Finally, 'trading stance' is not supposed to be as 'free' in League. In any other MOBA, you have much heavier relative mana costs (as far as damage). Minion block would not be as 'negative' for melees if the costs for harassing via abilities where higher, and if minion aggro (not damage) were much more influential, as in other games when you harass with autos. No matter what, in League, this cannot be fully addressed because manaless champions are a thing.

So there are DEFINITELY solid arguments to get rid of in LoL, or at least alleviating it, but there is definitely a general purpose to minion block. Enemy being removed would actually be healthier than allied, as far as ranged vs melee matchups.
