Will lethatlity runes be worth?

As you know, flat armor penetration is going to be changed to lethality. It will be like current flat armor penetration, except that it is worse early, and pretty much the same later.

That said, I don't know now if it is still worth to get lethality (Flat armor pen) runes. Part of the reason why you get flat armor pen runes currently to begin with is to snowball harder. However, with the changes, will it still be worth over just going flat AD?

The new lethality runes pass all armor pen runes at level 12 and are very slightly behind at level 11. They also make item 3147 strong as shit.

I would run all AD if you're struggling to last hit or looking to be agressive as fucking shit but other than that I wouldn't because once they get armor your all AD runes are useless and lethality would be 1000x better.

Not true.

Lethality is meh against bonus armor. It is balances to where it ignores a small amount of flat armor

Currently, AD assasins not named Rengar or KhaZix struggle to even kill an Ezreal with Iceborn, when building just lethality.

imho, no.

Lethality has a part of it scale down based on the level of your opponent, Unless u plan to Rush the new item 3147 , and even then i dont think it is worth it.

runes generally exist in there current form to help u get through early game and become negligible after, so runes that give you a flat early game advantage are generally considered better than scaling ones.

Well, I generally use scaling health yellows and scaling CDR blues. Even though they are not useful early, they become useful later in the game. So I think that this can be considered an exception to this rule.

That said, the same does not apply to lethality, which is a stat that you want to get early to snowball as harder as possible. Also, the champion I have in mind (Khazix) has some AD scaling magic damage, which does not work with lethality, but works well with flat AD (we are speaking about PBE, not live).

Lethality is inherently scaling.

Lethality works by having a portion of it scale based on your targets level.

For example. If you have 20 Lethality, you really only have lik 1o Armor Pen and the other 10 is actually scaling to something based on your targets level. (the numbers aren't exact ofc)

So if your target is like level 6, you only really have like 14 Armor Pen.

This is why I said what i did.
