Something I have wondered for awhile

Why can you start item 1036 + 3xitem 2003 as an AD champ but mages almost have to go item 1056 + 2xitem 2003. Why isn't item 1052 400g when it gives worse stats than item 1056. You are trading gold efficiency for a better build path. But if you build item 1036 it is about equal to building item 1055 even on AD caster champs. I feel that without mana pots we can afford to drop the cost of item 1052 to 400g and adjust all items that build out of it so they have the same costs. Or we can choose to bump item 1036 up to 375g to force AD casters to either lose xp or lose out on some of the hp regen from the 3rd item 2003.

I feel like these changes might help deal with why people like Zed are so annoying (not necessarily broken) in mid without actually hitting their kits. This would also help make item 1054 a better item for quite a few tops than item 1036 in comparison.

I also wonder why item 3170 isn't available in summoners rift so AP itemization can actually have another armor AP item besides item 3157

I think the problem is moonflair is kind of an eh item.item 3170 50 armor, 50 AP, 50 MR and tenacity. For a lot of champs it won't be good and then you will have abuse cases like Singed. Try locking him down with item 3111 + item 3170. If you want an armor AP item, it's better to go the route of something like 50 AP, 25 armor + 15 base armor (armor that cannot be reduced by LW or yasuo ult), 250 hp, and 100% mana regen and 15% CDR. Most items are supposed to be specialized. Moonflair is so general that only people like Singed who use everything in it will actually benefit from it.

It's great for p much every AP assassin though

Like Kat, Di, Ekko, Elise, etc.

The thing is their itemization is actually pretty good for the most part. They do their job without it. We need something for the mages not for the assassins. You can't make an item for an AP assassin to counter an AD assassin. The AP assassin should win in most cases anyways.

Look at item 3147. Very few AD assassins actually have had room in their builds to build it let alone rush it. It was a good idea, but it didn't really work and just kind of died on release.

I really don't want more assassins going around who can't be cc'd.

That's kind of why I said moonflair is kind of eh and isn't really good for the game and offered a different solution to what people keep trying to use it for.

Tenacity is a unique passive. It can't stack.

It can and doesnt mean that an assassin should get it for free as a part of their build. I did kind of derp and forget about that last night, but it still isn't good to let assassins get defense and damage to all sources from one item.

If it stacks, that's a bug. Unique passives with the same name shouldn't apply more than once, and the unique passive on both mercs and moonflair is named Tenacity; it doesn't just provide that stat.

There are places where it stacks. Masteries, Irelia, and DrMundo.

I was talking about the items. Mercs can't stack with Spellblade.

I'm kind of surprised that people are down voting me when it is generally agreed upon that AD itemization is much better than AP itemization. I mean AD has the advantage right from lvl 1. They choose damage and higher long term sustain or damage and higher short term sustain. AP has damage and sustain or slightly higher damage and lower hp sustain and lower mana sustain. This IMO is not fair especially because AP users tend to be on the higher end of mana usage (with exceptions like Katarina Akali ) and often have lower DPS. If they fail they tend to not be able to do anything for awhile while AD always benefits from it even if they run out of mana.

Doran's Shield just sucks. I always buy Ruby Crystal + 2 potions instead.
