Just had a thought, why not move ADC away from damage in favor of more utility?

Instead of having every ADC build being mostly the same, why not give them some utility? Reduce or remove critical hit chance from some items, but give them more utility.

Ex:

item 3046 This item would be the core crit item for ADC that favor critical strikes item 3085 Less Crit, more attack speed, useful for on-hit builds and teamfights, pretty much THE teamfight item item 3094 Remove Crit, now always give 150 bonus range. It is now the item of choice for ADC that want to sacrifice some damage for more safety item 3087 Now can hit towers by itself (without RFC), the item of choice for pushing lanes item 3036 Used to counter health and armor stacking tanks item 3033 Heal and Shield buster item 3031 Second core item for ADC that want to focus crit item 3508 Specialized for AD casters that also like some crit chance

Many of those items would remain mostly the same, but others would become more specialize. Right now every items that builds out of item 3086 are pretty much the same, and ADCs will always build the same, with very little flexibility.

By doing a small rework over those items, they could offer more utility in exchange of some damage.

Ex: You are Sivir and the enemy team has heavy zone control. You pick RFC for the increased range, which allows you to fight at a relatively safe distance.

You say that now but do you wanna play against Jinx with a permanent 850 range with AOE crits?

Should have a passive like: Your critical strikes deal 25% less damage.

If i assume that the theorical item would be very innefficient stat-wise because of how powerful extra range is, i don't think it would be so unfair since she'd have to dump a huge part of her damage output for a bit of extra range, which would leave her even more defenseless when gap-closed on.

Shave 15% crit off and increase the combine cost to 3000g instead of 2600, and you get a passive +150 range increase at a 1500g price.

IE, RFC, ER, Grieves, BT, LW. Ignoring crit that would still be about 70, 70, 80, 50 AD, or 270 AD plus another base 80 shall we say, 350 AD from 850 range.

Ok sure but why1 votes

I miss when item 3085 had no crit and 70% attack speed
