If I have a completed page in front of me in champ select, I shouldn't have to hit the save button.

The lack of pages means people have to make them on the fly in champ select. This fucks you over if you have to make last minute changes and forget to press save again.

While we're at it, if i'm sitting on a champion, can we just assume that's the one i want, rather than assuming i want to dodge?

This is to incentivise locking in rather than picking and afk sitting for the next 25 seconds. It saves a lot of time in the long run.

I find that very hard to believe.

Not to mention if you're last pick, it completely fucks you over for time to build a rune page.

They said themselves this is why they made it like that. They don't want people to just hover their champion and then go AFK for the rest of champ select.

not if you want to adjust runes, and especially as lastpick, if you lock in and then start on your runes, you get a very tight window for doing them. Also, not all people are OTPs or have a clear idea what champ they want that game, some, like me, play almost any champ and take all previous picks into consideration when pondering what champ to pick, and if you last second switch, you might be to late for the log in.

I for my self would prefer spending another 1-2 extra min in champselect over either haveing a leaver or some panic-picked champ or someone with the wrong runes on my team. The high impact that champselect and runes have on the game are in no relation to the short time we get for them...

They keep it like this so you are incentivised to buy rune pages. Duh why would they make it easier for you to save money

Honestly...they really need to change the Rune Page user interface. It is such a pain that it is in a separate window that covers up the rest of the interface. It would be nice to be able to still respond to chat messages, set summoners, accept/decline/see trade requests in ARAM, etc.

But I agree with the OP. Save should be the default and there should be a Cancel/Revert/Undo button.

It also would be REALLY nice if when you changed the Secondary Rune Path, then switched back, that it remembered your previous selection. It is such a pain..."maybe I want Inspiration runes...nah those Domination ones were good...damn they are cleared and I have 3 seconds left".

I've gotten faster at editing rune pages since the update, but this was a huge pain when I wasn't familiar with all the runes and let to a few... interesting... games. +1
