The concept of hypercarries seems totally out of place.

It seems like they are just there for the sake of power fantasy. Get fed, slaughter the enemy team uncontested, because of raw #s. To be clear i'm not talking about marksmen, their kind of feast or famine gameplay is a different from these.

There really isn't any strategic advantage to them, where it could be argued that someone who has high clean up power like katarina does have a place. Champions who are designed around getting fed (at any point in the early-mid game mind you) or flopping just don't seem like they have any purpose in THIS game. That's not to say no moba could use them.

hypercarries aren't really built around be fed per say. They are usually meant to get to late game then carry hard. it is just way more noticeable when they are fed because they hit their late game before everyone else.

Who would you consider a hypercarry?

Also, a hypercarry isn't necessarily reliant on getting fed. A hypercarry is merely a very strong late game carry. Most get there through farming and time.

if you are talking about snowblly champions that either snowball or be less useful than others,

i'd argue that they are the champions that keep every game from being a 50 minute turtle fest where you just wait for a big teamfight.

If you snowball, you win, if you don't, you lose. This isn't necessarily a flawed concept.
