URF actually helped become a better player

  • I actually learned how to dodge skill shots and not walk in a straight line (Then again we had high movement speed)
  • Mechanics
  • Predictions

I don't know, but I feel like a better player, especially with the dodging of skillshots. Props to URF! :D

Funny, cause I cant count how many times I've been in games where someone dies three or so times early and says "im too used to URF"

URF actually got me to start playing smart-casted in League...and I STILL feel like smart-casting is broken.

Smart-casting is definitely better once you get used to it. It's about as broken as pressing Q W E or R rather than clicking them though.

I need a middle option of "maybe" or "yes and no" because in a way it has but at the same time it hasn't...

For example, I spammed Talon for a while and URF helped me with prediction movement and proper combo execution (kinda). But at the same time I'm only accustomed to the fast paced fights where you know the enemy can use the same ability more often than normal gameplay, so I try to be preemptive more often than I should in normal games, leading me to try to predict prematurely (premature joke here).

But yea, in has kinda worked in both ways for me ("both ways" joke here).

If the same person made one of each of the jokes, would you say they did it both ways? kappa

Even already being consistent with Azir and Zed, I got some practice.

Trying out champs that I'm terrible with or just bought in a generally hassle-free environment is always nice. Too many carehard tryhards in normals these days.

And you forgot everything about cooldown and ressource management. :P

In particular, I feel like URF helped me with my reads. I distinctly remember playing a game on Lux against an Ahri in the mid lane, and she was running all over the place with a permanent movement speed boost from her Q (which also was always up), and later on was dashing all over the place with her ult, and I manged to learn how to read when she was going to dash and where she was moving, and land my skillshots at least semi-consistently (to be fair, in URF you didn't have to land every skillshot because you had it again within a few seconds), which I was personally impressed at because I would have expected to land a lot fewer skillshots because of Ahri's mobility.

Urf is an amazing mode for practicing twisted fate

Urf is an amazing place to use TF to back door everytime your ult is up. Because with his E, and a pair of boots, and AS runes, you have 1.5 AS and can go full AD (IE IE IE IE BT Boots) without losing DPS also solo baron all day long, because lifestealing THAT MUCH DAMAGE is broken. oh and if someone wants to try to fight you alone, you got a 2 second on-click stun that lets you slaughter them before they can hurt you.

Unless its a similarly built Evelyn with full AD runes and masteries, and a BotRK instead of boots. That bitch will 1v5 your whole fucking team in seconds.

I found URF the fastest way to learn a champ, or at least get the idea of them and how they function, wish it would stay.

Can completely agree. I played stuff like Azir, Alistar, Jinx, Vi, and new champions that I have never played and I learned them very well :D

All it did for me was make me get a new keyboard.
