The patch that killed Garen

So I tried to play Garen a couple of normal games for fun but inmediately understood why I would never pick him in a ranked game. He is super slow and his Q ms boost doesn't feel impactful at all. Then I remembered.

V5.17 Stats Movement speed reduced to 340 from 345.

Decisive Strike: Bonus movement speed reduced to 30% from 35%.

Literally every class has items that also give 6-8% movement speed. Also there are again more high mobility champs added to the game since then. You can make Garens ult do 100%HP true damage it wouldn't matter because he can never get in range any way.

They should make it such that his Q gives double to seed boost when running at the Villan. Keeps him under control in lane whole boosting his team fight.

In my opinion it wasn't that one, it was the one after that nerfed Boots of Swiftness. Patch 5.17 was because of Dead Man's Plate, and even though I'm salty about Garen feeling unreasonably slow when I don't go for Dead Man's I do recognize that a movement speed build before that patch was a bit much.

Only a bit though. That Juggernaut label still makes me a little salty when it comes to his speed, but right now is not the time to ask for a buff/nerf reversion for Garen. His win rate is doing just fine, and there are experimental items in the works that will be fantastic on him.

He seriously does feel too slow if he doesn't itemize into some movement speed outside boots, and the amount of champions that can outrun him with only boots when he dedicates a significant portion of his build to speed feels super shitty, but now really isn't the time to be asking for an increase to his strength in any way. Next time his win rate drops below 48% I'll be bringing this exact change up on here, just like I've done in the past, but for now Garen is doing pretty well.

With all that said I'd gladly give up the Villain passive for that nerf reversion.

Yo I just played garen bot as adc vs ashe and went 16/5/16 other team had an irelia/swain and ww and i ligit took no damage and built a tri force which gives both mana and AS so it shoulda been troll. I was kinda even trolling. The guy is like super man in league right now.

Edit: This was not a ranked game so that should be taken into consideration.
