Ohmwrecker

Oh yeah. I'm bringing THIS item up. I bet a decent amount of us forget this item even still exists in the game. I have one question for you, Riot. What the hell is up with this item? I know you hear people say, "Nobody buys Wit's End", or "Who even still buys Mejai's?", even though some champions can actually still benefit from buying these items, even if it's rare that they do. But when I say nobody buys Ohmwrecker, oh boy do I mean NOBODY BUYS THIS ITEM. And that has remained a fact consistently since...holy crap, since I started playing this game before season 3 started. I can't think of a single season where this item was popular after I started (if anybody can, please tell).

Is there a reason this item gathers dust on the shelf? I know you won't delete it from the game because it was the reward for somebody meeting the friend referral incentive, but come on man, do SOMETHING with it! I see it get its stats moved around every preseason, but still nobody buys it. Are there any plans for this item in the pipe? Anything at all? Because as it stands, Ohmwrecker is taking up item space that could definitely be better utilized.
