Those Ahri nerfs were so predictable, but I disagree with the direction taken
This isn't a Ahri weeb QQ thread, but I think it needs to be said .
Foxfire and Spirit Rush are being looked at again for nerfs. This time, instead of nerfing the base, because it is pretty low on its own, they've decided to nerf its ratio. At the rate we go every time Ahri's power is brought up, Foxfire (especially) and Spirit Rush will eventually become useless in her kit. You can argue about Spirit Rush because you use the ability for positioning and mobility, but what about Foxfire? The next time we question Ahri's power in game, I think we can expect the base value to go down once more.
At the rate we go, Ahri's Q is the only ability we have in her kit that consists of the bulk of her power. But why do we allow Orb of Deception to exist in its current state? Why aren't we nerfing Q's base damage? Given its mana costs and ratios are fantastic, appropriately so.
Adding a 10% increase in Charm will not mean much. Going by how Ahri players max their abilities, Q and W are the first two to be maxed out. Charm is still a utility spell. Does this reinforce the concept of hitting charm with Ahri? Hitting charm has always been a priority in her kit, especially if you want a clean kill. I will say this though, Q is the bulk of her burst right now. When she charms you, you will feel the brunt of her damage coming from her Q component. True damage being a part of the reason why it hurts so much, followed by supplementary damage by Foxfire and Thunderlord's.
So, why the reluctance to nerf Q? Even if you want skillshots to feel powerful when landed, this isn't smart balancing. Like I said, this is a warning to what's coming if we touch on Ahri's balance in the future. Foxfire will eventually require a mini rework if its being nerfed continuously.
Have we also considered increasing Spirit Rush's cooldown/cooldown between each dashes?
Honestly though? You're looking at the wrong places to hit Ahri.
TL:DR, Landing Charm for a guaranteed kill = check, everything else = wrong. If you're going to gut her Foxfire + Spirit Rush, at least give her back some of her scaling and turn her in to a better late game AP Carry with a highly gutted early/mid game. I don't mind seeing Ahri being turned in to a semi-hypercarry late game. Gut her bases but bump her ratios by 20% at least.
