Why is Riot buffing Cho'Gath?

He is one of the champions which I think that least needs buffs. He is already strong as he is now. The only reason why Cho'Gath is no longer popular is because of meta changes; Cho'Gath is countered by juggernauts, by Sated Devourer champions, and assassins aren't exactly popular so his ability to counter assassins is not in demand.

But Cho'Gath is still a very solid choice, he is ridiculously strong. His burst is massive and he is very tanky even if he builds full AP. I don't know why Riot is buffing Cho. There are so many champions that needs buffs more than him, for example: Kha'Zix needs buffs, Fiddlesticks needs buffs, Twitch needs buffs... Cho'Gath? He doesn't need buffs.

On my opinion Cho'Gath is balanced. However, the only reason why he is balanced is because he is immobile, easy to kite, and requires to land his Q to be able to do anything. He is bordeline OP and any buffs that he receives will make him go from balanced to broken.

He is already strong and I fear that if these buffs go to live and Cho'Gath proves to be broken, instead of reverting the buffs, Riot will change his other abilities and gut Cho'Gath.

It's been on the PBE for like 5 hours, calm down. It might get reverted back

This buff only increases his survivability, not his power. It will not directly affect his immediate interaction with other champions and is a QOL buff to allow him to survive in lane upon succesfully feasting on his lane opponent. Everyone is making a big deal over this for nothing.

The changes that make him have double stacks when he uses Feast on champions will make him more snowbally. Before, Cho'Gath had to make a decision; If he used Feast on the minions, he would stack the ulf faster but would lose damage on enemy champions. If he used Feast on enemy champions, it would allow him to deal massive amounts of true damage on his combo, but then he would be punished with the fact that he would take more time to stack the ult. Now Cho'Gath will no longer be punished because he can just save the ult for enemy champions and get 2 for 1.

The changes to make him have healing will increase his survivability during teamfights, and he already has massive survivability.

Everyone is still overreacting to this change. Cho'gath basically didn't have an ultimate if he was getting crushed in lane. I promise you, these changes will be less effective to his win rate than the 3 AD drop off of vayne's base damage.

It's so when they ship it and ends up too strong, they can nerf his silence.

It's not a damage increase. And it's not in the game client, only air client, so who knows if these buffs will go through.

You underestimate what a massive true damage heal will do on cho. He will be impossible to kill.
