Getting back into lol with... Riven

I'm bronze V- IV and suck mechanically although for a bronze, my decisions are decent due to playing lots of jg and crushing because that's what jg requires but not mid or high elo worthy. Let's be honest here. Im bronze. I actually admit I suck. I've been doing that for a while. I stopped playing a month ago due to computer malfunctions bit I got a backup fixed for now until I can fix the main computer. I heard riven can reach you a bit about the game. There are pros who started as riven mains. Also I think I can try to improve. I need better cs, champion mechanics, more advanced practces, etc. Don't yet deserve silver or gold. I want that shit but I need proof that I deserve it. This isn't a case of the lol stereotype salty as Tyler1 in the dead Sea riven main. I have tried her a couple times when free and I'm OK but no box box. Never legit practiced with her. I know what happens when I try to do the master. I fail. But riven, I'm not so bad but need to get good with her before ranked. That's why I'm willing to do 50 normals as riven. I play Pantheon who is also a simular play style but with map controll. So should I attempt to get better at the game and return through riven or should I stick to simple shit like normal.

No, playing Riven right now is a terrible idea, especially not for someone who's relatively inexperienced/learning League. She's incredibly difficult.

And it at least seems like theres always a really good counterpick to you unlike ex. someone picking fiz and the oother person gets stumped for a bit because diana and akali are banned for some odd reason

Im in silver. Got tired of losing half my games, dont wanna go back to rbonze. Started playing Fizz. Very hard to actually play believe it or not, Elise is much better for me, but fizz might be better for elo climbing so im trying to learn him well.

riven is fairly easy to just pick, but it takes a lot to actually understand her and use her to her full potential. her skill ceiling is probably 500x higher than the likes of Pantheon.

When I first started, my first two champs were Sona and Riven, now that I am more experienced I've lost all my faith in my Riven skills haha. The key to Riven is playing her like a fighting game; knowing her combos and her canceling to maximize her DPS

Riven can 1v5 faceroll, so she can be rewarding to learn. I'd still play Pantheon though, he invalidates a lot of laners and can win before he falls off

I would say if you're into top lane, try out gnar, he has great dmg potential with the current meta we're in and can kite fairly well, he's prob my favorite top laner and I find him very easy to pick up, he's also a fairly large pick in higher elos and such.
