damage compare..

so got a quick question why do people when compare there damage done so often to me when they play mid lane or adc when im a full tank top laner..? i've had so many occasion where a mid laner or adc telling me how they did more damage then me with there full damage build vs my full tank build ..? like are they just this stupid?? its pretty obvious they will do more damage then me
