Can we PLEASE have her traps deal damage only through the AP ratio without the base damage rather than no damage at all?

as a caitlyn main im rather offended that anyone would even consider ap caitlyn. So you hope they walk on your visible traps? so that you can then use e on them and do some damage to them? while dashing out of your aa range of them?
