Irrelevancy of High Armor in Late Game

Is it me or does high armor feel super irrelevant in late game? When doing your job (tanking), against a mostly all ad team, the super high amounts of armor you build becomes non-existent as the enemy adc or any other high attack damage dealing champion can still shred through you if he has the Lord Dominik's Regards.

Any of you guys getting the same result?

Depends on how high your armor is.

Malphite or Rammus with 600 armor is still unkillable. They can facetank your team for 15 seconds at which time they would've done thousands of AOE damage.
