why cant we choose if we want tenacity on ninja tabs etc?

a team could be almost full AD but they could also have a shit load of stuns and no real auto attacks, it could be ashe/riven/graves/jhin with brand support for example. we could get defence boots of choice while choosing what extra stat we want suited to the game. we have no real meaningful choice vs some teamcomps and its silly imo.

by that point even full passive irelia with a morg shield and stacking merc treads and zephyr wouldn't hold them back. your best bet is to build armor and dodge as much cc as you can. frozen heart helps vs ashe slows as well.
