why cant i get out of BRONZE V!?!?!?!?

Bent Pixels··6 votes·3,038 views

not just bronze, bronze fucking five. i truly dont know what the fuck i am suppose to do. every single fucking game i seem to start of decently well against my opponent but of course either top bot or jungle decides to feed or some shit and then i proceed to get fucked by the snowball. am i shit? are my teammates shit? are my opponents playing smurf accounts so they dont have to keep playing challenger anymore? I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH ME I CANNOT WIN GAMES MY TEAM ALWAYS SUCKS ASS (sometimes i do end up being the feeder but thats only if i play a super good zed, kat, akali, or really any assassin) i know people always say communication is "key" but no one fucking has discord and when they do i still manage to lose. on average how long does it take yall to move ONE DIVISION (like from bronze 5 to 4, not sure if theyre called divisions or nah). ive been in there since the start of the season and managed to get a grand total of 12 LP

  1. You're only just getting into the game, it would seem. No ranked records before S8. Most people start of in Bronze.
  2. You have 5 wins and 21 losses on Zoe. You aren't good at her, stop playing her in ranked.
  3. You don't buy enough control wards.
  4. Your item builds are all presets. You aren't building what you need for that game, you're just building the reccomended things every game. The same goes for your runes and summoner spells. At least you've realized Void Staff isn't a good rush, but neither is deathcap.
  5. It would appear that you lack the game knowledge to improvise builds in the first place, as I can see from your Nasus game, where didn't buy a sheen item, instead going straight tank. That's fine, but you didn't buy any HP to actually make you durable.
  6. You die more than 10 times in a large portion of your games. This is likely due to a mixture of poor map awareness, over-aggression, bad positioning, and tilting.
  7. It appears that you do a mediocre job of farming in the lane phase, and then just stop farming at all for the rest of the game. Keep the money coming in.
  8. You tilt way too easy. The game isn't over after somebody loses lane. It's only over when the nexus falls or you give up.

All of your points are true minus the starting point, a majority of people start in silver, then drop into bronze and get heavily demoralized

LiberalWithFacts6 votes

you cant control the 4 other people, know every game cannot be won don't get tilted by this. ignore typing it just slows you down mute someone instead of arguing. learn to press any lane advantage by shoving and roaming bot or top to secure kills and push towers or neutrals. ward as best you can but it comes down to playing over and over getting more familiar with everything learning how to play in multiple situations, keep playing and only focus on what you can do climbing is not easy, sometimes it can take me a week or more to move a division I used to be bronze 5 0 lp multiple times it can take awhile I didn't get outta bronze until after 1000+ games my first season in league you just got to believe and know you can always do better

you can start by not dying so much

yeah thanks no shit buddy. at a certain point in the game i just stop caring, especially if we're losing

you must not care a lot then, based on how most of your games are above 10 deaths

Kai Guy2 votes

So your giving up your opportunity's for a comeback so any game that looks like a loss, will likely be a loss because your throwing it away. You want to win more games but you do this?

Bent Pixels1 votes

when the other team is already at our inhibitors and we have yet to destroy a single turret with like 3 fed enemies theres like no point. how am i suppose to come back from that?

Kai Guy1 votes

If they are knocking on your door and the gold gaps to high and you guys cant win a fight and have no hope of outscaling late game, go for the FF. If you gave up previously to this, You contributed to the problem not the solution. Your statemtent was You give up, thus you die a lot, thus enemy team has 1 more feeder snowballing their team, thus you cant take towers, and thus they are pressuring your inhibitors and the game seems unwinniable. Its pretty difficult to feed kills at a point games are so one sided you can not touch towers but they are about to get super minions, so I assume you give up to early. Don't do that.

FridgesArePpl22 votes

and that's why you can't get out of bronze 5

TheGoomyGamer2 votes

If you genuinely want to improve, then you need to take on board criticism. Many of your games have over ~10 deaths, which is giving the enemy a lot of gold. Even if it is because ur teammates fed someone, you need to respect the enemy's power and ability to kill you more.

Madsin253 votes

Bro I remember when getting out of bronze was such hell.

Looking back I see it was all the mistakes I was making piling up into one.

-not csing properly -not warding/looking at minimap -not being reactive enough -not thinking about minion aggro -diving in 1v5 trying to yolo carry after teammates tilting me only to throw game after game.

many many many more. Just think, once u get to platinum, you will still suck. GL!

I will add one piece of advice. Know the champions.

You have a much bigger chance of getting demolished by a champion that u have never played yourself.

LOSINGISMYPRIDE2 votes

Well stop playing Zoe and Taliyah and play easy champion who can carry like Annie or MonkeyKing . I swear the god wukong full lethality one shot ppl like nothing and annie is just plain ez to play with insane damage and both of them are good with electrocute rune .

Sun Wu Ryuumoku1 votes

Dont make him play wukong. Just play Annie, focus on ur positionning during lane, look ur map and stop feed.

lmao thank you for the links. ive also actually completely stopped playing xbox and focused my gaming solely on league, even with the criticism from my friends lmao. thanks for the advice as well

Zelorxon1 votes

Nooo, you don't understand, it's much more philosophical the "stop playing call of duty".

People in this game reason with their guts, they only appease their animal instincts DAMAGE=STRONK KILL=GUD ME KILL ME GUD UGA UGA! And completely misunderstand the grasp of the game, the player known as hashinshin or every pro player from season 3 are a good example of this, if you won a teamfight and the 20% hp thresh is the only survivor instead of chasing him to make yourself feel better, just rush an inhibitor with your team and kill it before the enemy team respawns, but since people that play this game are neanderthals their only thought process will be KILL KILL KILL ME KILL ME GOOD.

This is not how league works.

Watch the hashinshin vs cassiopeia video in the LS channel for a more in depth explanation.

yeah pretty much. i play high win rate champs, usually make good calls and ping like all the time but idk what im doing wrong either, but the repeating message i keep getting is that i die too much. how many deaths should i get per game on average?

Half as many as you have kills (Assists count as a half credit) Here's some good practice. Go pick an enchanter type (Soraka, Sona, Morgana, Lux, etc) and take them bot as support. Do you best to end a game with 0 deaths. Try maximizing vision gain from wards and learning when/where to ward. Good vision saves lives. Great vision gets you kills.

hate to break it to ya, but you might just be bad man. work on making better calls when it comes to pushing hard to backing off.

Also your mentally should be that in this elo everyone is trash and you need to carry them so always take a carry and never take a support role or jungler . Always focus the most powerfull enemy and csing doesnt mean shit if you got kill and objective like dragon . Also if you seem to have toxic teammate or the enemy piss you off just do this /mute team and /mute enemy . Dont discourage yourself if your team is behind because the enemy can make mistake and just slimply not close the game fast enought . Always AND I SAY ALWAYS look at your MINI-MAP if you want information and seem to know that youre in danger , it will make you ask in your mind question if there is a jungle nearby or a enemy who try to roam other lane . Never trust someone who say plz let me mid im gonna carry . [slayer-jinx-wink] seriously never trust them . And if you want to still play zoe well the farther you climb the farther she will get bann and she will maybe get some nerf soon but the most important is the PERSEVERANCE . Good luck in your climbing .

It boils down to game knowledge and attitude for the most part. You could have sickest mechanics ever, but if you have poor decision making which is where the knownlege of the game comes in, your mechanics ain’t gonna mean anything. Shen got me to gold the past couple seasons. He taught me a lot about map awareness and decision making, knowing when you should and shouldn’t harass in lane stuff like that. And then attitude, when is it appropriate to give up? Almost never. Sure there are times when a game is completely unwinnable but thats definitely not always the case. Oh and if someones flaming you instead of flaming back, just mute. And all chat. Turn that sh*t off cause the words of the enemy can easily cause tilt.

Bent Pixels1 votes

"sickest" as in the most awesome or as in the most disgustingly terrible?

it'll take time just keep cool and play to carry while minimizing gold bleeds in order to maximize sucess of winning

First off actually try to improve. If you are stuck in bronze 5, its not because of your teammates. It's because of you. Looking at your match history I already see several points to improve on/make it easier:

  • You die way too much. Even if you are behind, just play safe and don't lose focus. Especially with those long game times, you can always come back by taking advantage of enemy misplays.

  • Your CS is super low, concentrate a lot more on farming and you can literally get 10+ kills worth of gold just from the improved farm - while there is no risk.

  • You play difficult champions in bronze. No reason to do that, just play something easier, and focus on improving at the game. You can go back to the more difficult champs once you are better.

  • You build the same items almost every game - you need to adapt your build to the situation.

You are in low bronze. Your teammates will always be bad. But your enemies will also be bad, and they are super easy to punish and snowball on if you play a champion well.

NekoniClaws1 votes

Looked at match history:

1: Mechanical intensive champions / Kiting champions These aren't hard for just you- but also your TEAM to play with. And for kiting champions like Tali and Zoe you need your team to work well- and that will NOT happen in bronze 5.

2: Over 10 deaths is really bad and indicates you're having problems either A: repeating your mistakes in lane, B: playing safe or C: getting caught out. For A- if a trade killed you, play safe IMMEDIATELY and wait for your jungler, and you'll slowly learn matchups. B + C - learn to pay attention to the minimap and where the jungler is.

I've never been in bronze- but I recommend Lux. She can play very safe, fill in a lot of gaps in teamcomp, and can successfully 1v5, without being mechanically intensive like Yasuo.

(2 > I saw you comment you stop caring about dying. You need to make it possible for your teammates to carry you if you're having a bad game This is -crucially- important.)

STOP PLAYING ZOE.

Play Annie, or other super easy champs. Actually build your knowledge on what to do and how, first. You don't even know what you're doing and you're worried about gaining lp? You got this whole thing backwards.

No one on a 1w/2L streak in Bronze V should be playing difficult champs or be blaming their teammates. It's harsh, but git gud.

ssj8Brolykugeta1 votes

i wish i was still in bronze 5 lmao. I had so much fun back then. i didnt matter if i lost. i had no where to go but up and had absolutely no expectations out of myself and my team. You could build anything and not get flamed because they didnt know how to play anyway.

feels bad to play rank for fun though lol

get therapy?

PeachyPosterior1 votes

Your KDA is awful. Even on your winning games. You play the same champs, so how well do you know them? Do you follow guides? Any masteries? Proper runes?

Your CS is also awful. Go to practice tool and try to get 75 (I think thats the right number) CS by 10 mins. Its hard, but your goal. Then add a bot. Then do it in game.

Yes communicate. Ping. Listen to team pings. Know when to group and when to split. When to chase and when to retreat.

Learn your enemy. If you're in the same lane you'll get the same enemies usually. Learn their kit and how to counter it.

thank you for the advice. i know zoe pretty well, but do you think i should just stop playing her altogether and find an easier champ? im not giving up shyvana shes like my go to lmao

If you know a champ well then all you have to do is get better at playing them. Make sure you know her combo's. Look up youtube videos and watch how higher tier players play her. Maybe there's a skill to her you weren't aware of. Figure out what to do during laning phase, team fights, when to roam etc. If after all of this you find you still can't grasp her learning curve, then yes, an easier, more straight forward champ might be a better starting point.

But it's all the same points for any champ. You need to know the champ, get high CS and not die. As long as your CS is higher than your opponants and you're not feeding them kills you should be able to sustain yourself.

I had a game where I was autofilled supp and me and my ADC each had one kill and one death up until we were at their last turret. We might not have snowballed how we would have liked, but we prevented the enemy bot lane from snowballing as well, and ultimately it's what won us the match. DENYING them kills.

I decided to try ekko a little bit, and boy do I love playing him. he just feels so smooth and he does so much damage and he also has that "shit, i fucked up" ability. i seem to also be very consistant with my cs (usually above 200 per long game and sometimes up to 300) and im assuming thats pretty decent. some games i still die too much and i actually get irritated at myself by that, but i am trying as hard as i can to not die but sometimes shit happens and you still die too much lmao. its a work in progress, but im hoping that im in the right direction. is there anything else i didnt mention but should aork on? itd mean a lot if you would take a look. thanks :)

Your CS definitely has picked up, which is good! But its during the laning phase it really makes the biggest difference. Try to always have more CS than your enemy laner, and dont be afraid to roam and push lanes to the river if the enemy minions are getting kinda close. Ping to your team that youre doing so so they dont try to 4v5.

Your deaths are still kinda high. Yeah they happen, but they're also usually avoidable. Not dying is still a good focus to have.

Bent Pixels1 votes

I feel like deaths are something that comes playing a melee champion like ekko. how am i suppose to get in, get a lot of kills, and get out with dying? it seems irrational to me, but let me know if there's something im missing. Thanks!

Ekko has a lot of poke. You have to know when to go in and when to get out. Don't engage if it's going to risk you death. You don't need a lot of kills, though it is nice. But if you get a lot of deaths you're feeding the enemy and they can snowball.

What you need is to farm CS, work with your team for objectives, and deny the enemy kills on you.

PeachyPosterior1 votes

Also, be a positive player. It doesn't matter how awful and toxic your team is being. If you can tell them to chill and quit being toxic sometimes its enough to scare them about getting banned so they stop. Sometimes they keep going. I don't usually mute people so the whole team can still communicate, but you do need to ignore them or mute them.

Be positive. Tell people good job. Say thanks if they assisted you. If someone did something awesome tell them. Encourage your team. Strategize. Rather than saying "wtf why weren't you in the team fight" say " hey x we need you to come join this team fight. we can't 4v5."

It gets you further than you might think AND helps to stop your other teammates from tilting sometimes.
