Is Vayne broken?

  • Mobility with Q's
  • Point and click CC, with a long ass stun if the player is semi decent
  • A PASSIVE TRUE DAMAGE (not like, say, Fiora. You need to hit the vitals as Fiora. All Vayne has to do is auto attack)
  • When late game comes around, don't bother trying to kill Vayne. Just presses R and Q's/right clicks over and over. Virtually nothing you can do
  • One of the few champions in the game that can actually 1v9 like it's no big deal

Im curious to hear your guys' thoughts on this. Maybe it's a low elo problem, but I swear this champion is far overtuned, and Ive been saying this for months. I also got word of her getting 50% cooldown refunded on her Q if she uses it while her ult is active or something wack. You will legit NEVER be able to kill Vayne (constant invisibility), she will be unstoppable. Might have to start perma banning her next patch, and you never want to have to ban an ADC as a midlaner...

I do agree with this, one of the biggest ACTUAL arguments against her is that she has a weak early game, which I don't see entirely as an argument. Theres plenty of ways to scale into the later parts of the game, play safe, or survive laning if you don't make stupid mistakes. She has some strong rune choices in Klepto, PTA, Tempo, Fleet Footwork and has two build paths that work incredibly well, On-Hit and Crit. Her range is the same as most Marksman and she spikes with 1-2 items.

Yep. Every time Vayne kills you, it is her fault for being OP with no counterplay rather than your fault in any way. I also believe that she will be permanently invisible while ulting, because the CD on Q surely begins as soon as the ability is used rather than when the auto actually goes out.

Listing a kit and using random caps doesn't make it OP

She's ok. With the death of crit, she doesn't really 1shot squishies unless fed, and she does her job of consistent DPS with anti-tank capabilities

She's literally always been. She's the Yasuo of bot lane. Even if she's behind she's ahead.

A pretty large amount of the meta champions played can both stick to her and one shot her. Kaisa has a better chance of shaking an enemy than a vayne. Vaynes biggest problem is she has no safe path, she's got to get in there to do damage, and in there gets her one shotted.

She’s a non existent champion early game, her damage is required to be single target, her cc is heavily situational, and easily predicted. Her ult is just a steroid and her stealth really doesn’t last that long. Not to mention she has to build glass cannon, so if you fart too loud next to her she is gonna die.

She can be hard to lockdown, but blows up immediately when anything lands. She reminds me of Master Yi in that their kit makes it hard to land CC while they are wreaking havok but it will completely shut them down if you do.

yi isnt ranged. that makes him managable.

vayne is conceptually broken. when shes not horrendously overtuned, she tends to be trash.

That barely addresses the point. Locking down Vayne almost guarantees she's dead before she can react. Obviously it depends on the team composition how effective that will be.

It's similar to Yi in the sense that it's vital to land CC but their kit makes it difficult. It has nothing to do with melee vs ranged. Yi has ultimate and alpha and Vayne has ultimate and tumble. There are tons of ranged CC moves to stop them both so I don't understand your argument about her range.

I'd say Vayne is the least oppressive ADC to face but I main Sona. She's by far the easiest to harass and blow up.
