Why is everyone under the impression that ranked is more toxic than norms?

Whenever I play norms, one team is always has a better player who hyper carries whilst flaming everyone and calling them bad. All while the enemy midlaner who went 0/10 in lane and is finally picking up kills of the backs of his fed team mates spams mastery and flames our midlaner for being bad.

9/10 time I find ranked way more tame than norms.

Is there a point to this post? Even if what you say is true, it doesn't really matter. Even if the opposite is true, it doesn't really matter. This is out of everyone's control. People will be people.

I always hear people saying, "don't play ranked, its toxic" "don't play ranked, its too stressful" When in my experience I find normal way more stressful and toxic, due to massive gaps in player skill due to match making, and generally large amounts of flame due to that matchmaking," hey I just beat a plat player in lane, what a garbage player" etc.

Alright. That makes more sense then. I don't ever hear that myself, but that context was important to help me understand what you were referring to. Still doesn't matter in the end, but I am following you now.
