and not a single thing has been done. great job everyone. great job team. must be my fault for losing 3v5s. "the enemy team gets afks too". yea i dont care. its stupid and unfair for BOTH sides.

Before going on a frothed-mouth rampage about this, think about what the hell Riot can do about it.

The answer is nothing. They can't control some single person's internet connection to make it better, they can only do so much to discourage rage quits (leaver penalties are already pretty brutal), and they don't have any control over the instance where a real emergency pops up and you have to stop playing.

Unfortunately, due to the structure of the game in which every player is dependent on each other, getting an AFK hurts, but what can anyone do about it beyond what Riot already has? It's unfair, but so is life.

they could idk? put harsher punishments? afking once a week gives you what? a 1 day ban. WOW!!!! thatll stop them for sure. how about if the mother fucking team doesnt get their lp removed for having to play in such an unfair manner. "but this could be abused". could. not will. and if the afk is not duoing with anyone, its not being abused. and if you can check that the person was bullied into afking so his team doesnt lose lp, they could be punished. theres a solution for everything, but riot doesnt want to even start with shit. they want to just sit back, give us some things that could happen, and continue on with lcs.

Harsher punishments won't address the issue any more than the current system would, especially since it would get people to stop playing the game at worst. Aside from the few blatant troll attempts, AFKs are caused by external factors related to the user, not Riot or the game itself. Thus, you can never really "fix" it, but you can at least discourage it, which I think Riot has already done a decent job in doing so.
The suggestion for checking whether the LP loss was deserved or not requires a human eye to adequately ascertain. Hopefully we get our Tribunal back to make this feasible for the time being. Other than that, it's not that simple. What if the team with the AFK still manages to win a 4v5 due to circumstance? wouldn't LP loss at least for the other team be deserved? What if the instance of the AFK happens right when that afker's team is winning the game, turning the game around? There are a lot more complications to this issue than you are making it out to be.

afks not playing the game anymore? wow thats such a bad thing for us. when people afk for no reason at all or just to sabotage someones promos, idc what happens to them. but if i lose lp and my promos for something like that, i have every right to be angry.

I don't think you're considering the possibilities. Every time you install a new patch you click a little "accept" button. Why not slip a clause in there where you agree to do 100 hours of community service to make up for any AFKs? Or perhaps sacrifice you pets to pagan gods? The possibilities are endless.

Seriously though kids, Riot has done about as much as they can with LeaverBuster (maybe they can improve it, but not that much). Remember that in the long run, AFKs help you as much as they hurt you (at least as far as your wins go).

so far i havent been vs a single afk. but its surprisingly on my team. now im not mad at my team or the afk. im mad at the fact that it counted as a legit loss, when the game was not legit.

I don't know how you get to level 30 without playing against a single AFK, unless you literally just play bots or 5v5's.

now that you mention the "accept button"... when i start up a ranked game, what do i see? "match me with teammates"; not match me with SOME teammates. when i hit the start solo queue button, i expect a team, not a partial team. so if your going to play the "oh but your accepting to play so you cant complain" bullshit, ill revert this shit on riot.

Perhaps make a loss prevented? I cannot tell you how many fucking promos I've lost because of a 4v5.

Yup, seems right to me. I've had multiple games in a row where it's 4v5 or 3v5. I've experienced dealing with the SAME troll/AFKer after a week or so of reporting them and having our team do so as well. And this is only MY personal experiences, I have a plethora of friends who have experienced the exact same thing.

SO many people have suggested genius ideas to make this easy-to-fix issues, yet nothing has been done or even hinted at something may be on the way.

nah thats not fair for riot. they would actually have to lift their fingers to fix something. their motto is just to ignore it until it dies down. the less work for them is all that matters. for example: east coast servers.
