Practice Mode: Some Constructive Criticism
So I've been trying a couple of rounds in the new Practice mode, and I'm finding it to prove to be a really good tool to practice getting better at champs since I've ever really only been good at Karthus and maybe Cho'Gath lol. However, I would like to voice a couple of constructive criticisms towards it in order to maybe think of a couple improvements to it :)
- Allow us to control enemy AI if in use
I think this helps if you want to be able to test abilities on kill-able champs, but you don't want them wandering all around the map in one of the lanes. I think you should be able to have a champion stand in one spot like the target dummies, or have them start attacking you if you want to test damage mitigation/ other effects. Something like that
- Make Target Dummies Kill-able / allow us to control their health
This is more so we can actually get a good feeling of how much damage our abilities do to them without being mislead by a big-ass health bar that we can't deplete no matter how hard we try so it seems we do no damage. Also, maybe show a notification if you kill one just for the feeling of sort of getting a penta :P
- If no AI enemies, allow for up to 5 target dummy spawns
Currently, from what I can tell, you can only spawn up to 4 target dummies on the map at a time of any one side. I say make it up to 5 as long as you don't have another opponent in with you.
- Allow for skin changes in-game (so long as you own them of course)
Mostly because it's a pain having to get out of the game to switch skins just to go back in to continue. Not really too big a deal tho :P
- Remove the time limit during Practice mode
It seems there's a time limit during Practice mode where after an hour or so, the game will simply kill your nexus and boot you out. If I'm trying to find good item builds, it sort of defeats the purpose of practice mode if there's a time limit to it.
Just a few things for Practice mode that I think could really make it a more complete tool to get better. I'm not saying it's bad, quite the contrary in that it's a very useful thing. I'm just saying that maybe these could make it even better :)
