I am quite good at marco and honestly pretty terrible at mirco (or mechanics) I literially cannot carry a game. Silver 3 :'(

I can always be in the right place, pushing the right objective choosing the right fights, initaiting at the right time. Then a fed player on the enemy team will steam roll my team with better mirco and I am just not good enough to save the team. I don't have any other explaination for failing to climb...

I rage quit from ranked because I couldn't climb as a silver support main. In before, don't play support, If no one plays support no one has a game and I'd rather see it done well.

Supports and junglers are your Marco roles. It can depend on what champion you take top or mid but they can be more marco focused such as Tank top laners and AurelionSol mid.

I feel like silver is ELO hell because you have some players with great Mirco and terrible Macro and players with good Marco and Terrible Mirco and each thinks the other is an idiot for failing to do the "simple" things well. Then you have the other problem of it being random. Hitting a team good at marco and bad at mirco results in feeding in lane because the opponent is legitimately better than you. game snowballs away from you. You get all good at mirco and bad at marco you typically get a throw.

Bronzes are bad at both and Golds tend to alright at both... then you hit Plat and run into the same problem some people getting there on mirco and others on marco.

I am much better at macro than micro and while it does bridge a certain length of the gap, it really isn't sufficient to rely on purely. Better micro means you can play the macro game significantly more efficiently, as better micro lowers the amount of "mistakes" you can make and increases the amount of "good decisions" u CAN make.

Someone with better micro can pick more fights and contest more objectives than someone who doesn't.

Macro is more important than Micro in this game imo, but micro is far from negligible in comparison to it. Not even close.

You can have amazing macro, but it doesn't matter if you can't follow through because your mechanics are crap.

you just contradicted yourself xD

Micro is literally about 85% of the game. Learning movements, abilities, dodges, learning walking patterns. macro is more or less objectives and team fights. You were right in saying you can have amazing macro, and if you don't have amazing micro, you are shit.

But honestly, you don't even need good Macro. the game is so focused on micro, which is why 90% of the players are below plat. Some people are just really good and learning the skills and keeping them, while most are not, and will stay in low elo no matter what they do to try to improve.

I disagree tho. A team with much better macro with sufficient micro will beat out a team with better micro 80% of the time. At the end of the day, it's league of objectives and those win the game. the team that knows how to keep up pressure and rotate will beat the team that only knows how to 1v1 you better.

The majority of players in roughly all the why up to plat elo get by on micro alone for the most part.

That said, ive seen far too many of these players lose to scrubs both low ranked and unranked alike because they can't play the map for their life.

You can have the better mechanics, but at the end of the day, if your opponents mechanics are at least sufficient their macro will win them the game because what matters at the end of the day isn't who can 1v1 better, but who kills whose nexus.

In team gameplay, macro is just as important.

But in YoloQ, there is barely any team fighting. It is all just little brawls over the map until you get an inhib, take baron and win.

Hey! Sometimes you will get a soloQ hero who will rally the team together with their great macro!

outside of those occurrences tho, yea, it's pretty much the case lmao.

When you have many bases and can manage your economy while microing, Good creep spread and injects or tabbing production facilites. Makes sure your gas/mineral income is balanced, don't force more gas than you need. Try to keep around 150APM for decent macro/micro switch, otherwise you will fall behind. OH WAIT, this is LOL we are talking ? LOL macro ahahahah well... that's a joke. I suppose in LOL you describe "macro" as good map awareness and understanding when and where to be and what to do ?

SC2 silver "macro" = LOL diamond "macro".
