"We want mordekaiser to be and ADC in bot lane!"

Cenobite Azaziel··10 votes·747 views

After nerfing to hell the broken mechanic that made him skip the lane phase, mordekaiser is picked by some insane people (0.08 pick rate, no one cares about mordekaiser now) in top and mid with god awful win rate ( the worst in mid).

Does riot still think he is ADC material? Will he be left in the gutter for 2 years again? Will they roll back his "update" so mordekaiser can be a niche pick?

Just as the Mordekaiser mains predicted.

A kit that relies on bullshit advantages to do well will always be 100% broken or completely trash. He will never be balanced as a duo lane in this state.

They should revert the rework so the 5 guys (Myself included) that played Mord can have their champ back, since nobody plays New anyway, but that will never happen because CertainlyT is perfect and can do no wrong.

Yep... just like Skarner an Cassiopeia before him, Morde was mutilated into a horrible thing by his uncaring creators, experiencing a brief moment of brokenness before being thrown in the dumpster unwanted and forgotten.

It's like they thing making a character's pick rate spike for a month or so before they're nerfed out of the state of being utterly broken means success. A lot of their reworks have gone the exact same way. Alienation of long-time fans of the champion. Momentary "pick/ban this guy every game!" state for newly reworked champ. Champion receives nerfs because they're broken. Everyone drops the no longer brokenly OP champ. In the end they go back to only being picked by the same handful of long-time fans... except Riot has already slapped them in the face and mutilated their beloved champ. Rinse and repeat.

Skarner is just outclassed by Vi for the most part, though he does boast a faster clearing speed. He's a pretty strong duelist, too. At least you can play Skarner, and it's fun, and he isn't absolutely horrible. His skills certainly doesn't feel disjointed. Was his rework good? No, it really made no difference.

Then, we have CertainlyT's work.

you know, Skarners kit worked a lot better before the most recent update (actually had synergy). the rework was really a very bad one. he just happened to survive it. Then there's Morde. I don't think we're going to be arguing about Morde.

Well my point was, is Skarner top tier? Not at all. Is he still usable? I'd say definitely. He's still a perfectly serviceable jungler, albeit a more or less outclassed one. He still has some desirable traits, like I said. Great clear speeds, great duelist, and with his new platform passive schtick, he's not a terrible counterjungler.

Ultimately, I feel Skarner still has room to exist in certain comps/against certain comps and picking him can be justified. Mordekaiser is never worth using, and picking him regardless puts you at an immediate and considerable disadvantage.
