Overhaul the item to have no attack damage in it, revamp both passives to be more tanky AP focused and give it a similar treatment of taking so much damage in X seconds gives you 25% extra AP, size and spellvamp it will probably get used and be a good item for tanky AP champions
12ocky13alboa3 votesIt's a good item on Kayle, Eve, Jax, Kog, Ezreal, Twisted Fate, Tryndamere, Teemo, Xin, Skarner, Mordekaiser, Mage Fortune ... Hybrid builds, it's just really underestimated.
I hate what they did with zeke's. It's not a rework if it's totally a different item.

An item's age suggests that it's perfectly fine and viable on a good-enough number of champions that can make use of it

A Miss Fortune1 votesKayle and Jax are the only ones I can think of that can use it properly. Kayle is probably the only one in the game that can effectively use the passive of it too, aside from maybe Olaf but I don't think he has any AP ratios? The passive is only good on her because when she gets low, she can ult. Typically when someone gets low on health that means they will die and the passive isn't going to heal you back to full health instantly. Even then It's not always the best item to build.
JustMyBassCannon1 votesUsually I don't like mirror item suggestion threads, but Guinsoo's Rageblade has definitely needed updating for a while. Maybe not make an exact copy of Sterak's, but similar and for a similar purpose.
