1 v 1 queue.

Riot seems to have an aversion to introducing more queues or having game-modes that won't have longevity in terms of player count or dynamic meta, but Dominion and TT just shit all over that; they are a complete joke. Dominion fans basically had to rally together and create an off-shoot community, to centralize the few people who are dedicated to it. Both modes have no kind of dynamic meta and Riot barely support them with changes, nor do they care much when a change for Rift breaks the modes (less Critical Strike on a finished items than on it's components).

So what is the big deal with having a 1 v 1 queue when we already have two shit queues that Riot does nothing for? If it really is a flop then you can shut it down, but until then, don't act like 2/3s of the modes in League right now aren't flops!

Using a modified Teambuilder set-up, a 1vs1/2vs2 game mode should be possible, I agree. The problem of Showdown back in the day was that the champion select often took more time than the actual game.

  • Pick your champion and settings
  • Pick 5-6 champions you don't want to go up against
  • Queue up and find a match

That should alleviate the issue of the long selects.
