Reading the patch notes and thinking:

"Why haven't these people been talked to or fired yet?"

Edit: as you read this note there are many things I left out on purpose (cough summoner spells cough) this is just a basic idea of what's wrong here

This is not a rage rant post complaining about how mages got gutted along with thanks and AD is the go to now. This is a breakdown of trying to figure out why the BALANCE TEAM isn't balancing the game properly

  1. another champion is coming out and riot still refuses to give players 10 bans in ranked (1 ban per team member) riot got the riot idea to split up bans but now only three people will get them per team resulting in a possible increase of targets for toxicity to happen (instead of one person getting flamed by four, 3 people might get flamed by 2 aswell as one by four)

So I ask here: how is adding more shit to you game without having a cap or a way to prevent there from being TOO MUCH content,, a good idea?!

  1. mages: I'll keep this one short: riot said in patch notes their goal was to not nerf mages all around the board. The simple fact is THAT IS WHAT YOU JUST DID. It's pretty clear, look at the numbers for AD items, gold going down damage going up along with new items. Then Mage items: good going up, ap and ratios going down along with the removal of mana potions. Seems like mages got gutted to me.

So again: HOW IS THIS BALANCING THE GAME?! This is not "balance" this is forcing a new meta.

  1. tanks: same as mages pretty much: New ad items made to take down tanks, tank items stats go down and costs go up.

Remind me how is this balancing thing supposed to work? By gutting something then buffing its counterpart?

  1. wards: removing the option to buy a ward, regardless of whether people buy them enough or not is the WORST balancing idea ever, sure you made wards free with plenty of SS improvements, but your balance team still had the brightest most unintelligent idea to have ward limits of 4 (1 pink 3 green)per team member in an effort to force teamwork and prevent toxicity tword supports.

This one goes back before this patch: you want players to ward more and players want players to ward more, yet you forced a ward limit and most players still think it's the supports job to ward by their self... Ask your self is that a balanced game where warding isn't pretty much even across the board?

  1. you are creating a "whole new game" Every time a new season comes around it's a whole new game. Sure new content and updates are welcome, but no you just change something so drastically that everyone was used to, into a new and strange thing that next to nobody knows what to do with. Which now requires them to spend even more time re learning a game they thought they had down.

That's not very balanced to me, knowing every season I need to re learn everything.

  1. and finally SKIN REFUNDS: It's simple really, besides the fact that most of us wasted refunds under the false impression we got three per season (which would be a fair idea) if you're going to rework a champion wether it be gameplay or just visually; for gameplay you need to offer refunds; if somebody's champion is now ruined thanks to you, they deserve their money back.

For visual updates you have a couple options

One: offer both the updated version of the skin and the old version of the skin to be played as.

If not that then I'd love to refund Popeye gangplank now please (sailor gangplank)

TLDR: the balance team has no idea what balance is and either needs to be renamed to the "Drastic changes team" or they need to be fired

This is probably the thing I'm most upset about. Just because 60% of people don't buy wards does NOT mean I, whether as a support or a mid or top laner, should suffer and not be able to buy them early game. I do not give a single rat's behind that most players don't buy the most OP item of the game. I don't care what THEY DO. I care about what I do, and what I can do for my team.

Exactly, and the ward limit itself is absurd, I actually have been playing since before the ward limit as was a support main back then aswell as after: in terms of toxicity and my team telling me it's my job to ward; before the limits I almost never had an issue with it (because I was able to buy 5-10 wards and light the entire map up) after wards? "Support ward, wtf support no wards, report support no SS" ect

Yeah I started playing just before they made the ward limit and I remember having total map control, and it was great. After the update I found that unless I was playing with friends people STILL didn't ward and now it was 10x harder to keep people from getting caught out because I couldn't ward like I used to.

Telling people to upgrade their trinkets or buy wards meant little. "I don't have the gold." I even heard someone say "well they're getting rid of our wards so why should I buy any." Like that's an excuse?!

Regardless I adjusted to 3 ward change. I learned to ward in certain spots. But this? Not to mention that they changed the charges on Sightstone from 4 to 3, meaning you'd have to keep going back to recharge it constantly. "But if other people on your team ward too---" STOP, no. It doesn't work that way. You won't get people to ward that way, you just won't.

You can try but you can't force people to do what you want them to do. It's like a girlfriend wanting to "change" her boyfriend. Just don't do it, it never works out!

Yep the balance team has created more toxicity and made the supports role even harder

I agree, this patch is clearly a shaft against everyone that isn't a physical carry; by items & masteries. The forced ward limit shouldn't have been implemented to begin with since it's easier to kill wards. The refunds and being able to buy/play old skins I'd pay for! But as you said in #5, they repeatedly change so much at once that it doesn't feel the same, it's frustrating and time wasting.

Exactly on the refunds: they keep changing things that we payed for and half of it we might not like

Agreed, I'd have refunded half my roster since they can't leave anything alone :/
