what's with all the hate for 4 man queues?

almost every single time i've played in a 4 man queue the random says something like "great another 4 man" in champ select. is your team losing the game? random calls team trash and asks other team to report us for toxicity. i realize that sometimes the random can get ganged up on by 4 people, but in my experience both solo queueing and 4 man, I think the odds of the random spewing insults is much higher

the same is true of duo bot lanes. did you lose lane? gg duo bot trash. did you win lane? team says nothing

4 man premades are just convenient to blame. It's silly, but that describes the mentality of a lot of League players.

Premades are not inherently bad, just like solo players are not inherently bad. However, there is a tendency for one of the two to blame the other when things go pear shaped. This goes for both parties.

they alienate their odd man out, always assuming they are the team and we are here to fill in what they need. they rarely communicate with this other random fill their intentions and its just assumed you are going to do what they want to do.

its a team game, and you already consider me to be your subordinate and what you want to do is always right.

Reason for this is that one guy probably doesn't know what the hell your team is planning to do most of the times, as there is 0 communication considering that the 4 man is probably using some sort of Voice Programs (Curse, Skype, Discord, etc.) Leaving the solo guy out, and often enough, the people in 4 mans try to do some sort of silly plays for the sake of fun, which often frustrates that one guy. This is why 4 mans are hated often.

Whenever I'm in a premade I always post the curse voice link so everyone else on our team can join. Funny enough only about 10% actually join and the ones who don't join then complain we don't communicate enough. Can't make some people happy.

I can think of a few situations.

4-man premade refuse to ping because they are all on comms. That leaves the solo player at a disadvantage where they can and likely will be caught out.
4-man premade defend their friend when they make a mistake leaving the solo player frustrated and feeling like they are facing a pointless task.
4-man premade troll or don't play seriously resulting in a frustrating game for the solo player. It's fun when it's all 5 friends messing around, it isn't fun when you aren't part of it.

As for duo bot lanes I have a special hatred for those as a solo player. They have the advantage of likely playing together at least a few times already, they have communications and picked their champions based on each other's strengths. Facing that as a solo player you have a support / adc that you don't know, who most likely picked a support / adc they are comfortable with that you may not work well with and at best you can hope they use pings smartly and ward.
