It seems like all of my matches are extremely one-sided one way or the other. I have the occasional good match but the overwhelming majority of them are either mega-win or mega-lose. It's strange because I thought a lot of the changes they've made have been to try and prevent snowballing, and yet I've never seen this game as snowbally as it is now. I'm curious if anyone else is having this experience as well. This is true for both normals and ranked, although I play mostly normals (ranked this season feels extremely unrewarding as an ADC player).
Biggest reason for your issue is because they removed the old ruins. The old ruins you once had allowed people to have armor, and Magic Resist. With the old ruins gone, and no one has armor it is very very easy to snowball one lane, and end the match fast. Avg game time right now is 25 to 28 mins. Short matches mean you can't farm your CS for late game.
Another reason for your issue is there is no Tank mastery any more. There are only 2 spells that give any form of defense from the Resolve tree. All the mastery trees right now are all about damage. So if you want to have any chance at climbing in rank you have to play champs that can snowball hard and are easy to play. Don't play champs that take forever to learn or master. Simple OP champs work the best. 
simpler the better. The reason why they work in the meta right now is because after 10 mins in a match one lane will have 4 people trying to kill 1 or 2 people. You want to ignore what your team said's in chat and just get your items and Clean up the kills from the enemy diving or burst them down.
Many people right now think its still old League and you have to play this way, but its not the old league anymore. Its not farm CS and trade. Its who ever can burst down the players fastest wins the matches. Burst CC mostly. That's all the game is right now. So in the end the question you have to ask your self is do you enjoy the burst meta? If you don't then I would play something else because Riot does what they want so you have to deal with what ever they give you sadly. Many people have quite because of changes to everything, and its not the same game you once played for years. You have to forget all the things you learned from the normal games that lasted long amounts of time. Adc and support are not as good as 2 Mages bot, and other comps. You can play anything right now and it will work most of the time because so many people think the game is still about CS, but you can't get all items in less than 15 mins because you have to back when you are low health. You have to back when there is 4v2. You have to back before that Karth cast ult, and so on.
The game is not like it once was.
