An idea for poacher's knife (or equivalent counter-jungling item)

What is important for someone who wants to counter-jungle? I would say two things:

  1. Knowing where your opponent is. Since you go deep into the enemy's territory, you need to know where he is and where he isn't.
  2. Knowing your opponent will hate to see you just took his buff. This is the kind of things that makes counter-jungling a funny thing.

Both need one thing: vision. I suggest that when you smite a monster (or kill a smitten monster), you drop a **ward **(or equivalent, like mandrake) on the corpse of the monster. The vision will allow you to have a better map control on the enemy jungle, which is useful for the whole team, and to know that your opponent just realized that he lost his buff, which is fun.

Great idea, but it probably won't help much, a counter jungling item is counter-intuitive to itself. The enemy sees you have it, and they expect it. In Gold and up that usually means they will ward and you will get collapsed on.

I suggested having an active on it that placed a 1 health vision ward with a 350 range that lasted for 15 seconds and didn't count towards the warding limit, so you could have a way to know if the enemy was coming and be able to clear wards in a small area.
