I'm expecting complaining threads about Sion being OP
...in approximately two weeks.

God I hope not. I'd rather Sion be seen as the underdog on the forums. In truth he's in a really good place right now, any buffs could send him too far and any nerfs would be incredibly painful.
As a Sion main, I may be biased. But I don't want Riot to nerf Sion just because people don't take his incredibly healthy counterplay into account.

On my opinion the main problem with Sion is just that he is meant to be a late game champion, yet he only scales into late by having more tankyness. Yet he is an incredibly strong lane bully, which on my opinion is not what he is meant to be.
While Sion is okay from a balance point of view, he still has that aforementioned problem.
Late game tankiness scaling doesn't feel very impactful sometimes when you consider the late game damage scalings.
, thanks to these champions, Sion will remain an eetle underdog.
3 of those are early-game champions, Fiora is dumb, Vayne is a tank-killer, Garen is Garen, Kog'Maw is also a tank-melter and Shen is not really an issue for Sion.
Kindred's early game !?!?!?! :O
Yes, most of her nerfs were put in place because you could clear 1 side of your jungle, hit 3, and then 1v1 literally anyone on the map. Their other buff was almost guaranteed yours since no one could fight you over it.
he's a strong pick but he relies heavily on the carries to do well. Go full tank Sion become almost invincible but still lose cuz your mid lane/ bot lane fed horribly and are behind. Started playing him last week and I enjoy his kit and being tanky as hell but i've lost 50% of my games because in lower elos you could have a beast game as a tank and engage/peel perfectly, carries will still find a way to get caught randomly and die.
Basically if they do nerf him in the near future (when he becomes flavor of the month), he will be a weak pick again.
I'm excited about him turning into an actual train during his ult
My name is Barry Allen when I was twelve my mother was killed by a yellow guy
The other day I won a 4v5 it was funny because their lulu shyv and tf were saying sion was braindead and takes no skill I had these guys so mad they were typing whie we killed them so we ended up winning them even when we were down our healer
His winrate is pretty damn high, but his playrate is quite low and he has a fairly high skillcap so it's likely just Sion mains putting that up so high. He's still really quite strong but I dunno if he's OP. We'll see when he sees more play with the new skin.
I'm curious as I have never played Sion, what about him makes him a high skill cap champion ? Don't mean anything in a negative context.
Hm... Well, only his ultimate is a truly difficult ability to LAND, but the rest of his abilities are all tricky to use properly due to how telegraphed everything but his E is, especially if you're against somebody who knows what they're doing. It's kinda like Illaoi, but instead of fuckloads of damage, you just dish out heavy CC.

new skin fixes that. EVERYTHING has a visual cue.
If anything, that makes it easier to play AGAINST Sion.
-------joke-----
.....you...
Well, a joke has to actually contain something funny before it's considered a joke.
you have a hard time figuring out what sarcasm is, dont you?
to play devils advocate, sarcasm doesnt come across well via text.
If anything, that makes it easier to play AGAINST Sion.
but yes, that was the whole point of my comment. EVERYTHING has a visual cue, it fixes the problem by making it non existent, but in a bad way.
having to explain it kills it.
thank you for making me murder my own joke.
Why?
New skin -> will be played -> will stomp some guys -> that will go complain on the boards

"As I laugh, all will cry!"
Oh, I like this.
almost got me caught reading forums instead of working! I lol'd legit IRL :P
To be fair, he has been top ten winrate in Korean gold for almost a month.
Gold? EleGiggle
Dude, Korean Bronze is NA Plat+
No. Korean Bronze would be equal to NA Bronze and EU bronze. Quit believing the flamers on twitch about these low elo "exchange rates".
If we were talking about Korean Plat, that's when it would start turning steep against other regions. If you don't believe me, then go make a 30 account on Korea and come back to me. Or you can just stay here and be naive downvoting me.
Don't even touch vote buttons bruh. Chill
Unfortunately you can't make accounts in Korea without a Korean IP. Do proxies do the job, maybe?
You can buy one on the deep web lol.
Because we all know everyone hits up those illegal dark web sights for lvl 30 korean LoL accounts.
Well I mean someone could technically just buy a Korean code for a LoL account, but they're probably used to do illegal activity on the internet outside the country.
Edit: You didn't read this from me :D
Just to clarify I'm not doing illegal activity in Korea.
But if you were, would you really admit to it here anyway?
there is a facebook post where a guy is wanted for a crime, the wanted guy comments on the mug shot being bad, and the police tell him to coem to the station and they can change it for him.
some people do lack common sense ;)
No no no, you're thinking of it wrong. Korean Bronze is EU Challenger, EU Bronze is NA Challenger, and NA Bronze is Korean Challenger.
It's the CIIIIIIRCLE OF TIIIIIILLLTTT~
With you at it's center~~~~
Unlikely. When Sion was legitimately OP no one complained. Now that he's kinda bad if anything I imagine a huge influx of new players demanding a buff.
Yep, people are much more ok with Sion being to strong because unlike Fiora some other champs, he's fun to play against
Are we both talking about the period when his E had a low cooldown and costed 35 mana at all ranks?
At least you can fight a Sion. You can do something to him, vs Darius being given free stats and going pure tank. Vs Fiora being able to literally Ult you at max hp and nearly kill you since vitals do 1/3 your hp.
I liked when I seen Sion top, you could beat him and he could sure as hell kick your ass.
Back then he didn't even have to lane against his bad matchups, he could just hang back and shout them out of lane.
he can still do that.
just take meditation keystone.
Winning with , or against sion fell great. Because in "normal" cases, it's an "active" fight, both players and outplay each other, and feel great about it.
It changes a lot, because "Mobility one shot you", "lololol rightclick rightclick u ded" or "I got more free stats that you !" are boring.
ive been playing sion support...its exceptionally strong
Who can get mad when you get run-over by a orange train? It's like being killed by monarch kog. You die laughing.
Honestly my complaint with him is that he's suppose to be a late game hypertank.
His win rate by game minute says the complete opposite however.
That's because sions early game damnage is amazing but later in the game you have to set up for his ultimate its not like a insta cast like Malphite it takes time to get going so if u can win before u need to group then its better then fucking up ur ult in a teamfight and throwing a game
Meh, his ult has a global sound. I dont like him because of that.
