My Sion Runepage Theorycraft

So I'm pretty damn excited about the preseason being only a few hours away, so I thought I would go ahead and share my theorycraft Runepage for Sion.

So, first major thing. Resolve: Aftershock or Resolve. Grasp of the Undying is an amazing keystone on Sion. It's pretty much everything a champion who already stacks health infinitely wants. However, I don't think you should discount Aftershock too easily. Aftershock provides Sion a defensive buff after landing a CC and begins charging up an AOE explosion of both base health AND 3.5% max health damage. This is great when you're playing a heavy engage style as it lets Sion soak even more damage after landing an ult, as well as giving him some very decent followup damage .

Strength: Demolish Pretty self-explanatory. Being able to actually punch a tower for a shit ton of damage allows you to put pressure on even as a tank.

Resistance: Conditioning As a tank, you won't really mind not having that extra 8 MR and Armor until 10 minutes in, and that extra 5% scaling on both is tasty.

Vitality: Overgrowth or Revitalize Honestly, both of these runes are good on Sion.Overgrowth allows Sion to add even more to his health stacking by giving it an additional scaling that gets better and better as the game goes on. Revitalize is excellent as well, because it increases the effectiveness of your shields, and then doubles down on that effectiveness boost if you're below 40% health Why not Second Wind? Healing for 6 + 4% of your missing health every time someone from the enemy team damages you sounds tempting....until you read the "over 10 seconds" portion of the rune. 0.6 + 0.4% missing health healing per second? No thank you.

Now for the secondary rune path. We dip into the inspiration tree! The first one we take is Future's Market. Being able to complete items faster let's us be more useful faster. The second, Celestial Body. 100 free health. ONE. HUNDRED. FREE. HEALTH. And all I have to deal with is doing 10 less damage for every 100 damage I do until 10 minutes? Fine by me.
