The biggest problem of low elo

The biggest problem of low elo is honestly placement. Fresh new players gets put into random divisions due to inaccuracy of how placement match measure one's rank. They blur the line between divisions and ruins the skill gap between say bronze and silver. New players should just be placed to bronze, like come on rito. Placement doesn't even measure one's skill, since as long as you got lucky and go close to 50/50 in win or loss you will be put into mid silver due to a high base mmr for unranked players. This is not right. Rito pls fix it.

tl;dr: put unranked players in bronze, they are ruining silver.

just put them into bronze 5-1 depending on how placements go

The biggest problem with low ELO is that my teammates are instead playing quake 2 death match and trying to rack up penta kills the entire time. Either that, or they're playing world of warcraft and just farming gold for the duration of the game. No personal incentive to secure objectives as long as they have a good score at the end of the game to get that S.

Most of these guys you are talking about are people who are new and have no experience with the game. Rightnow 30~40 normal games gets you level 30, that is nowhere enough games for one to learn the game.

Sorry but pretty sure it is nowhere near that few. I am gonna make a smurf just to prove the absolute inaccuracy of this

I'm honestly not sure if that's fair. B5 - B3 is are pretty shaky foundations for beginners since almost everyone down there lack the consistency to play well. On paper, silver is supposed to be the average playing level that is neither good nor bad.

The better solution would be to use the normals MMR for ranking on the first time ranked user. It would churn the numbers really well.
