The new dragon

Hey, Kui here.

I would like to talk with people about the new dragon, and perhaps some new changes that might actually put a little more taste in the new dragon. When we lose a dragon in ranked, it isn't like an "Oh shit" moment like the new baron is, it is just a "Oh well, we will get it next time!" Moment. First of all, i would like to compliment that the new dragon has very nice concept but it needs more of a big deal to it. Dragon at 5 stacks is a MASSIVE advantage, and it is also likely that same team just picked up baron as well, considering that is the only time i have ever seen 5 stacks on any team.

Stack 1. Increase the amount of %AP/AD with each stack rather one straight buff to damage dealers, but give double the amount of armor and half of what armor is receiving to magic resist. This will make sure tanks do not fall behind, because as of right now this buff gives pushing power, move speed and if you are one of those tanks that are actually capable of doing damage, AP. If we continue to buff only AD/AP play styles, tanks will NOT exist much longer.

Stack 2. Bonus gold is now rewarded through minions, jungle creep and %damage to all players who decide to attempt at killing baron, this % Damage can ONLY be used against baron and nothing else.

Stack 3. Afk gold is increased to double the amount, now supports are quickly starting to catch up and able to do their job better. They are now capable of building the items they need if they fall behind and items they want to help assist with the enemy team.

Stack 4. Basic attacks do an additional 90 true damage (3 second CDR to prevent Vayne and other AS oriented adc's from ripping Nautilus into pieces) and magic damage deals burning 180 true damage. (5 second CDR.)

Stack 5. The enemy team is now under attack! They are unable to spawn minions, perhaps they should have paid more attention to objectives rather killing other champions for petty gold. All opposing towers take a devastating blow of 1000 damage, and are rendered useless until the buff is over. (This buff will last only 90 seconds, and will perish soon after. Do NOT allow the enemy team to obtain this if you are behind, you will have to completely outplay them with less items, damage, gold, buffs and a possible baron to even assist them in winning. This WAS MADE to be another 'end game' tool.

I think you may just be slightly underestimating the power of dragon's buffs compared to the gold it used to give. If memory serves, old dragon gave a max of 250g per teammate, which is substantial, to be sure, but far from game changing.

New dragon on the first stack gives +6% AD and AP for the rest of the game, easily worth more than 250g on any champion, with the added bonus of increasing the value of future offensive item purchases. Dragon and Baron are both a lot more valuable this season, but the reason people don't react so badly to a lost dragon is because they usually don't realize just how big of an advantage it really is.
