Couple words from Heimer main

I want to talk about position of Heimer in this season. I was maining him is S4 and S5, and has about 800 ranked games with him. He was strong in S4, but I stopped to play him when Heca and reworked Sion started dominate on toplane in S5 - Heimer has nothing to stop them. Later Riot added Ludes and this was last thing to finish Heimer. Heimer mains have nice winrates, but I think they pick him not in every game (he's very situative) and play in duo - because he needs proper team combination.

This season you can say "bye-bye" to Heimer.

Masteries:

  1. No more 5% cdr (he needs to go into support tree to get this 5% cdr)
  2. Now if Heimer wants HP from masteries he needs to go absolutely useless for him Resolve tree. I doubt someone will choose Resolve for him, so this means he'll be even squishier than he was.
  3. Warlord's Bloodlust - Tryndamere and Yasuo who always were one of best counterpicks vs Heimer, now are even more stronger.

Items:

  1. Buff for Maw of Malmortius - this means best item to counter Heimer (Hexdrinker) will be purchased even more often.
  2. Buff for Guinsoo's Rageblade - another item with AOE attack that can clears Heimer's turrets very fast. Now even Teemo can coutner Heimer while it's always was conversely.

I have to say that this will be very hard season for Heimer mains.

How can you know Heimers position in "this season" when season didnt start yet? We are still in preseason. There will be tweaks and updates till season begins. You have to wait actual season to open threads like this.

You're right. And I hope I'll be wrong. But Riot started preseason to find imbalances, so we need this kind of discussions to figure out what Riot need to balance before season starts.

Heimer heals off Hexblade from his turrets, does he not? Just change your build.

He is, and I tried - it doesn't help much, Heimer always was vulnerable to burst, and hextec doesn't change it. Lee Sin will kick you away from turrets and kill you, no matter do you have hextec or not.
