Shaco; a Gameplay Update

The main thing here, besides trying to keep a tricky jester play style and trying to emphasize that better, is make Shaco better to play against. Now if Shaco becomes better to play against then he can get some power improvements for himself so my ideas should be a win-win for both sides in the long run; and I am a long time thinker so my ideas will have long term balancing in mind, as in my ideas should allow him to be easily number tweaked between patches allowing him to be good without extremes of completely dominant or useless.

My focus will be on ability power Shaco (easier to number tune), I do want to note that attack damage Shaco is only a basic attacker so on that note he will be unaffected in his power, but there will some added utility I will do that would help out an AD build.

Basic Attack Range: 125 units Movement: 335 units per second

There I Was, Here I Am (Passive): Shaco can only be seen from enemy minions, champions, and structures.

While the enemy team cannot see Shaco he gains 25% bonus movement speed.

Shaco ignores all unit collision.

Here, A Present! (Q): Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds; Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 Mana; Range: 400 units; AoE 500 units Shaco instantly teleports to the target location leaving behind a jester bomb at his previous location that detonates after a 0.5 second delay to deal 100/135/170/205/240(+85%AP) magic damage to every enemy struck and reduces Here, A Present!'s cooldown by 50% if it damages a large enemy.

Jack In The Box (W): Cooldown: 16 seconds; Cost: 60 Mana; Range: 500 units; Detonation: 350 units Passive: Shaco's basic attacks deal 22/34/46/58/70(+20%AP) bonus magic damage on-hit. Additionally, jack in the boxes' attacks do not damage their target, but instead they apply a multiplier to their targets that stacks infinitely lasting for up to 3.5 seconds or until consumed by one of Shaco's damaging effects multiplying this passive's bonus magic damage by the stacked up number to that target.

Active: Shaco summons a jack in the box at the target location that enters stealth after a 0.5 second delay remaining in place for the next 60 seconds. If an enemy gets near one of these boxes it will spring open and fear nearby enemies for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds while attacking them, the opened box remains in play for the next 10 seconds or until killed.

Two-Shiv Poison (E): Cooldown: 8 seconds; Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana; Range: 625 units Passive: Shaco's basic attacks slow his target for 15/20/25/30/35% for 1.5 seconds while Two-Shiv Poison is off cooldown.

Active: Shaco throws a dagger to the target enemy to deal 60/90/120/150/180(+60%AP) magic damage and slowing it down by 30/35/40/45/50% and stopping its dashes for the next 2 seconds. If the target was struck from behind then the damage is increased to 90/135/180/225/270(+90%AP) magic damage.

If the target was a non-champion then it is blinded for 3 seconds.

Hallucinate (R): Cooldown: 130/110/90 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana: Range: 400 units; Tether: 1000 units Shaco instantly creates an identical clone to the enemy team in all aspects at the target location that he can control with holding down the Alt key and Right clicking. Shaco can also instantly swap places with this clone an infinite amount of times while the clones still lives by reactivating this ability.

The clone lasts for 8/10/12 seconds or until killed.

All damage the clone deals is reduced by 50%.

Hallucinate I made it a lot more trickery which makes the clone no longer take amplified damage for this, so this makes it an overall buffs. Unfortunately it means things have to go like the Shaco clone bomb, but you can use the new Q ability for this and have the clone be a bomb delivery service, also Shaco no longer disappears from the game for 0.5 second, in exchange he can basically get a second blink. But now there is a lot more incentive to keeping the clone alive as it allows Shaco to hop back and forth constantly and be an evil jester that laughs in your face as you constantly attack the fake, as soon as one of them takes damages you know exactly when he swaps between the two as the health bars will change, but you still do not know which is the real one.

Everything else you are curious about then shoot up the questions below, or if you think you have any better ideas then let's hear them! If you are unsure about something then ask about it.

Those changes would make Shaco horribly evasive with his ult, and the only thing beyond that you are changing is that he will be permastealthed (A terrible idea), and you're removing a massive chunk of his damage and replacing it with a gimmicky trap. You're removing the 20% damage boost from attacking from behind, and removing his guaranteed crit from Deceive, which is pretty much the only thing that makes him able to assassinate lategame.

The only things Shaco needs to get back into the game in comparison to other assassins is that his mana costs need lowered, his E needs it's damage buffed back up (50 base damage at level 1 lololol), and they need to fucking fix his clone's AI finally.

Gauranteed crits on champion kits is an old mechanic and needs to be removed- damage amp is the same way, but the back stab mechanic has been added directly to his E

First we need to fix Shaco's problems to play against him, and we can just easily leave his ultimate untouched, that was really just an idea.

The sudo-stealth is the same aspect as if he was in fog of war; but its a better stealth to go against than what he has now, so it is a better design

You are trying to buff Shaco without fixing his issues, Shaco doesn't get buffs because he has very unhealthy gameplay patterns right now, so this is to fix his core issues to why he is a bad for the game; once his issues are fixed we can then properly fine tune him to fit into the game in a balanced state, but changes need to made first before anything else

Also we are not going to place Shaco in any kind of category, so don't have that mindset here, his positions of jungle and sometimes top/mid will be the only left in the back of the mind
