I hope Warwick is a precedent for future reworks

that the end result is still a familiar champion

IMO the bar has been set for re works now. if galio and urgot come out anything similar i will be very impressed

Honestly Warwick's rework is a lot like Taric and Ryze: a modernization of the champion.

There are still Sion/Poppy/Yorick level reworks where much of the original champion just doesn't work and needs to be reimagined from scratch down to their weak basic concept to get a better foundation to build off of.

TLDR: Champions like Warwick, Ryze, and Taric actually had a foundation to work off of, but it was poorly executed/didn't hold up. Champions like Poppy and Sion didn't have much at all of a foundation and had to be reimagined. Galio and Urgot are probably closer to Poppy and Sion in that respect (especially Galio imo). Champions like Eve will probably get a Warwick like update.

Edit: my TLDR is about as long as my explanation...if not longer.

same, I can understand removing the aura and adding a buddy style synergy, but his kit is lacking any kind of trading or damage. He's pretty much a weak ass Kayle.

The way Meddler and Reav3 have spoken in the past, Evelynn will be getting a Poppy style rework in that some of her kit might be preserved (such as Poppy's former passive and W combining into her current W and her E being practically the same), but for the most part she'll need an overhaul. They've stated that Eve's largest problems lie in her current play style and kit design that makes her want to be a sustained damage dealing bruiser, but her fantasy and play style originated as her being a burst-out-of-the-shadows assassin. They've implied that they want to push Evelynn into more burst and away from the spamming light damage and weird tankiness that her kit currently has. If anything survives her current kit when she gets reborn, it will most likely be some form of stealth, Ravage (E) and some iteration of Dark Frenzy (W). I don't see Hate Spike (Q) or Agony's Embrace (R) making it to her new kit.

Ahh. Good to know.

Galio? I can see him take a somewhat similar direction. Urgot? I think he's simply too flawed as a champion. He's quite likely to receive a Sion like update if you ask me

Urgot isn't getting a rework, he's getting a star guardian skin! Riot would never dare touch a champion so perfect and beautiful! /denial
