What if there was an item that allowed you to move minions around the map?

The item active works as follows..."Ally minion is trapped inside a box (or some other container) and healed. Item active must be re-cast within 'x' number of seconds, and upon doing so the minion is released. If the minion is released in the jungle, or if the minion is not released in time the minion will enter the nearest lane, unless there is a fight going on in which case the minion will help before doing so. Additionally, if someone is killed before the minion is released, the minion will be released upon death." I think this could potentially be a very interesting item. Save a minion for when you need it most (like if you need something to block a skillshot for instance), deny an enemy trying to last hit, split pushing, etc. The possibilities are endless. As far as the stats on this item I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it should be some sort of tank item.

I'm not saying it's bad but this is from a previous experience with more or less the same mechanic that involves interacting with your own minions.

Back in season 1, preseason 1 even. Gangplank 's old kit had an ability called E - Raise Moral. And what that ability did at the time is that it boosted the movement speed, attack speed, and attack damage of himself and any Allies within a ~1600 Unit radius at the cost of some mana and 1 ally minion.

Now the focus here is that you had to kill your own minion to gain the buff. That being said he ended up being the ONLY champion that could directly deny minions from an enemy champion during the laning phase which ultimately gave GP a significant gold lead as well as denying experience that the enemy could have gained, which gave him a levels advantage.

Messing with minions is a really powerful strategy and I'd be open to it if there were more options outside of 1 item.

Currently the only ways to directly influence minions and minion waves are terrain builders Anivia JarvanIV Taliyah and by boosting them with Sivir ulti or halting them entirely with Bard ulti. Ryze as of now can teleport himself/allies/ally minions with his ulti which make for very tactical plays. I think at one time C9 Jensen used it to save minions momentarily and teleport them from a tier 2 tower to inhibitor tower to save seconds of downtime and ultimately let them push into nexus for the win.

Outside of that you have hitbox/creepblock manipulation and wave management. Which are very powerful tactics on their own.
