Why can't I get Top today.

Has something major happened since the last patch ? I've been queueing for Top/Mid all day and I keep getting Mid. It can only mean one thing, Top is highly contested today. Mid is usually the most contested lane. Has something new come to the meta that I missed. Why is Top so popular all of a sudden ?

Seen him a lot today but he was mostly mid. Don't think I seen a single Top game with him today.
