@riot: let's discuss lux's Ult and hitbox size

On lux, and many of her skins (I'll use star guardian as an example) her Ult is a giant laser beam of sun. So the TLDR here is: can the hitbox be laser sized and not so huge please?

Non TLDR:

  1. let's look at why the hitbox of her Ult is VERY annoying. When she ults the laser beam is visible and focuses in the center of the hitbox and it looks like you can walk along the edges of it without getting hit by it. Until BOOM it suddenly expands to a bigger laser, NBD you are on the edge and it shouldn't hit you, oh wait you're dead because it did. This is because the hitbox of her Ult is slightly bigger than the actual laser beam you see. This feels like the biggest issue I have with her Ult.

  2. a laser doesn't do more damage the bigger it is: what I'm talking about here would be a possible change/buff/nerf to her Ult.

When you think of a laser you think of focused light hitting targets in a straight line to do huge damage, however a laser doesn't just suddenly expand and deal more damage, light also wouldn't be able go through tons of objects without reflecting some of it back at her (you wouldn't even be able to have a stable laser that could expand the way lux lasers do) so the proposed change would be either A: reduce the damage on her Ult and AP ratios (nerf her) B: buff her Ult damage and ap ratios but make the laser not expand (and adjust the hitbox accordingly) C: change it so that if you're on the edge of the Ult you take like 50%less damage, but take the full damage if in it's center D: damage goes into a line per target hit, I.E. Something can go in front of something else to reduce damage of something behind it, but damage still acts as an AOE beam to hit everything.

3)lux's Ult should have an ENTIRE map range. This one wether you buff or nerf her Ult is pretty simple: light doesn't just STOP like there's an invisible wall, it'll keep going forward (unless she's aiming it slightly tword the ground, in which case why can't we have giant craters??)

since when does any of riots champions obey physics? silly argument. the damage or cooldown on her ult needs to be nerfed

Some champs do(graves has to reload now)

In another forum post, it explained that it's less like a laser and more like… I can't really explain it without an example, okay picture a glass tube with gas in it. Now set that gas on fire. But there's no tube and no gas. The laser isn't infinite because lux can't control light from that far away.

I mean it would ale playing lux (and against lux) much more fun if it was a global Ult

I mean sure we all call it a laser, even Lux does although that's in one of her jokes. But who's to say it's actually a laser?

It looks like a giant laser beam of death and destruction

According to the TV that I watch, any automatic weapon looks like a 'machine gun' but we know that's just not true either.
