yet when we normies do it its unacceptable? (yes it also works) why dont they get reported/banned if they are doing the same thing as normal players are doing. i remember something about faker used AP yasuo yet won at it.

building off meta is only dangerous if you're playing with a toxic big time streamer on your team

i still feel if riot wants to police meta they should X out the things mages cant use and X things supports cant use. even if someone doesnt wanna build normally (i mean a build of hey im gonna try ONE SHOT tristana AP build example) it shouldnt be reportable no matter what the team says. its my build/champ not theirs. i mean if they wanna have control of my champ you know what riot should just force the other player controlling both players at once and if they controlled player feeds hard its the controller's fault therefore they lose LP and you dont since obviously they forced you to not play.

They keep saying you can do new wacky things and play around with things i.e explore with the meta but what they don't tell you is if you actually find something cool they'll kill it. Remember sona taric bot? Yea that lasted a whole 2 patches. Hey this champ is a good flex pick in high elo? Say hello to 5 straight patches of nerfs. It's not even funny how bad they system is anymore. Any problem champ they just nerf into the ground and let them sit there while they try to tweek numbers when it's their kit that's the problem. Seasonal ryze reworks is a meme but scarily accurate one. Meanwhile the META is whenever a champ is released they're op. Neeko, yuumi and mord rework all were super strong when they came out and had to be quickly nerfed. Heck even sona's rework was nerfed into the ground and that was years ago (she's actually worse then pre-rework). Riot has this problem of trying to stay relevant by releasing new champs and skins for that burst of attention it gets while completely disregarding the champion balance and in general alot of the older ones in terms of visual/sfx/kit upgrades.

It's extremely rare to get banned for going an off meta build since an automated system generally won't recognize all the legit builds. Players generally are a lot more forgiving when they win, and don't bother reporting. If no report then there is no chance of a ban. Also, pro players get reported all the time when their "troll build" goes wrong. I've seen plenty of challenger streamers report other pro players.

A troll champ on the other hand who doesn't follow meta lane assignments gets punished far more often. That's why a lot of streamers generally play with friends when they choose to do sth straight stupid.

It's usually the toxic arguing that occurs after a "troll build" that results in the ban

but the main question is though why do higher up pros like said faker able to get away with things like AP yasuo? but the same regular player who plays yasuo (and does well just not faker level good) gets punished. thats the main question here. and yes AP yasuo is definitely the best example i can get since i know theres a game on that with faker playing yasuo with only ap.

Ap Yasuo stayes in his lane, I couldn't care less about him, maximaly blame him at the end of the game.

If you are staying in my lane, sitting there for whatever reason, bcs of whatever op strat you are doing without my consent, that's different story.

If something is so far from normal standarts and affect whole team from start, you need consent period.

Stop mixing things, who got banned for offmeta builds while stayng in assignited role? Hell, look at Alicopter, that's what roaming strategy means.

Okay so Dyrus str8 up said in a stream, a challenger player, in general, is nothing compared to a pro in talent and skill. He's simply leagues above the average joe so he can get away with useless items. A comparison would be like, I've won games on my bronze smurf without ever leveling my R the entire game. Sure im trolling, but no ones gonna report me because i can carry.

same thing with someone regular building and/or doing off meta stuff yet winning could be reported/banned.

So I come on the forums a shit ton, and spend a good amount of time in the player's behavior forums to listen to their sob stories of getting banned. I have NEVER in these years heard someone get banned specifically for troll building. It's always because they follow it up with something dumb like inting because they are getting flamed, or "defending" themselves in the chat.
