i found fighting morde as a top laner fun?

i know its unusual but in the beginning of the game hes actually strong/weak. strong part is when his shredder barrier is up yet weak part is when you can sustain him out while also keeping him away kinda like a VS boxing match to measure his/your hp levels also stay near minions is godly just in case if you cant dodge his Q while his E is slow enough for you to sidestep it. again hes very counterplayable hella alot more counterplayable as a melee then a darius where its a instant lose when he has phase rush. plus his E has a mega cooldown as a bonus so its not like a 24/7 illaoi E on you.

There is cancer in this game and it's NOT Morde. In fact most of the cancerous shit beats Morde easily

Plus you can literally just rush a QSS.

Played against a GM Morde with my GM Yorick. Literally went QSS first item. Hard won that lane.

I actually think Morde is fairly weak outside his ultimate and nerfing his bases (especially his early game bases + base stats) was a bad move.

Morde is one of the most balanced champion with a new kit which they've released of late.

He has set windows through which you can easily punish him.

He can be countered by building the right items (played Renekton against 3 Morde's so far and building item 3091 was an instant win).

And he has specific matchups which he excels against while having very clear cut counters. He is for reference, amazing against assassins but terrible against juggernauts and divers who can keep up the sustained damage.

I do expect his winrate to fall eventually.

So I really never played against Morde until his rework and I gotta say... it really grinds my gears (XD). He's even more tanky than he was before and unless you are another tank (Maybe a marksman) than otherwise your screwed. but that's not what frustrates me. it's of course, his ult. He can pretty much force a 1V1 on the weakest player on the enemy team guaranteeing a kill. He can just do this to however is the weakest and get fed. And heres the kicker... nobody can do anything about it including the person within the 1v1. Since his buff he's so tanky that i've used all of my attacks (as neeko at lvl 11) and it maybe got down 25% of his health. So there's no way your gonna win the 1v1, especially if your the weak link. And nobody can help you. I play mages and assasins a lot and I CANNOT beat him. A lot of others that I play with agree. But maybe i just play with crappy people.

I do gotta say, his design is KILLER tho!

he isnt THAT strong there are a couple of "cheese" champs that can beat him fairly named MasterYi or Jax or finally Fiora also there are other non cheese champs that can also match him early to mid like Kassadin or Warwick as examples. there are other champs who basically cheat morde altogether Gangplank Olaf Bard with item 3157

side step his E then on his Q crowd up into minions to reduce damage then your set if you retaliate vs him in a perfect manner to avoid his shredder barrier. again his E is definitely (by definitely i mean INFINITELY) more fair then a darius instant cast that E just cheats melee types altogether.

Except virtually every AP carry in the game, as well as any non-fed AD carry, straight up dies to his ult with zero counterplay outside of QSS, because the area is too small to kite him successfully and he's too fast to get away from, even if he doesn't land a single ability.

Fighting him in top lane may be fine, but him being able to completely remove and kill one of the carries in a team fight, unless he's completely shut down in the early game, isn't okay.

your talking about nimbus cloak? i faced and beat him 1v1 as jhin we both were evenly fed. many carries have some kinda defense vs another champion they arent just attack attack attack. 2ndly Qss is optional but recommended if you wanna still keep teamfighting or be in his realm its kinda more safer there if you think about it assuming you have great dodging capacity. the reason why the arena is small its 7 seconds and HIS ultimate it wouldnt be called a ultimate if its the size of summoners rift or mid lane tower to tower range.
