Should Lethal Tempo be replaced?

or only reworked? Atm, waiting 1.5s as an AAer feels bad to get attack speed. you're losing the trade in the 1st 1.5s and then have to keep the enemy engaged long enough (or chase them) to make the most out of your keystone. IMO it doesn't seem to help laning in any meaningful way, pshh even when your jg ganks your starting items/1st item isn't gonna do much until you get crit or rageblade done.

The delay is what turns me off of the rune, even as a Kayle main. I get greater impact from PtA because it is basically almost always up and FT is instant sustain. The delay and CD is not worth the advantage the other runes give in most scenarios.

I think it should work more like the old Fervor mastery did, you attack faster but the attacks also get more ad. Maybe like+2 per attack on so?

Fervor indeed was good design.

I actually recently posted a discussion about how I may rework lethal tempo since it is a great concept but not performing as well. Lethal tempo: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/jQYHWZHb-lethal-tempo

the bonus attack speed feels so low that i never feel like getting it over press the attack / fleet footwork and conquerer

I'll repost my reply here. What if it gave max atk speed for a duration, like Jayce Cannon W?

that sounds interesting, for a limited time you get to have high burst of auto attacks but this could end up being quite problematic ie: vayne silver bolts at lv.1 / kai'sa / teemo etc, why not just give a large attack speed bonus based on level so people don't get so bursty at lower levels?

Current LT is based on level, unless you mean it should just be permanently active as opposed to being a window.

oh it does? i thought it was a small fixed value and hoped it grants more attack speed so people don't instantly prefer fleet footwork by default.

30%-80% based on level

yeah i dont think i would want it unless they increase the scaling per level [slayer-jinx-catface]

Would that solve the problem? It seems that the 1.5s delay is what makes it bad, at least early on in laning phase.

That 7.16 attack speed though

in Practice Tool?

yes because its totally viable to go 4 nashors bloodraizer and guinsoos on taric jungle with lethal tempo

It's really a pointless Rune.

Oh so you're an ADC at 3.0+ attack speed? Good job, the enemy ADC with the same items just sustained all your damage thanks to Footwork and popped you before your buff could even wind up.

Oh you're playing anything else? Good work the enemy ADC building crit or practically any AD jungler with item 3147 just popped you before you could wind up. Should have took electrocute.

Maybe rework it to trigger faster based on your atk speed OR have it stack much like rageblade does. Only on hit champs really build it anyways.

I think it just needs a buff. Like everytime I use it I think "I can't wait to go above the cap" but on any normal build it just bumps me up to maybe 2.25. It isn't worth it enough. I think if the cooldown was reduced by autos or something it would be worth more as later in the game it shines as the scaling precision rune for ranged champions like Conq is for melees.

C9 Squeeky 1 votes

Call me crazy, but what if it gave max attack speed for X seconds instead, like Jayce Cannon W? Sharp difference between uptime & downtime.

Kaìju1 votes

Maybe. I just think the biggest issue with it is that it has a downtime. Like Conq resets for melee's to do true damage, I think making Tempo maybe not reset but just have no cooldown so the only downtime is the 1.5 arming time would be the ADC equivalent to Conq.

All fights are over in 1.5s so its worthless

If that's true than how does anybody trigger Conqueror?
