Intentionally losing a tower to make it easier to farm

Would this be a viable strategy when you're using Nasus in top lane? The first set of towers, whether top, mid, or bot are bound to fall eventually, in practice, and in every game. So could I lose the first tower on top on purpose, which would allow me to farm my Q easier?

Just make sure your other lanes, typically mid lane and jungler can handle that. You're essentially losing your lane and forcing them to roam into your jungle or come mid and push if you lose your turret and freeze your wave. It affects more than just you.

Yes, I thought aobut this, but wouldn't the enemy also lose farm as well?

They might lose a bit of CS but they're instead going to farm kills and turrets. If you don't have a mid with good waveclear; their turret will be taken extremely quickly. If the second mid turret falls you essentially lose control of both jungle sides as well. Meanwhile your top is going to steal golems, red and raptors from your jungler so unless he's a strong early jungler you'll cost him the game as well.

Essentially it's fine if you've got somebody like a Lee and a Ziggs on your team; but if you instead have something like an Annie and Shyvana jungle; they will fall pretty far behind.

Honestly, I do this. My friends do this. Hell, a lot of people do this. Not just Nasus. Just don't give them first tower and after than do it if you need to. It works amazingly on champs that are farm heavy like my Trynd. They leave lane for a min and I go from my second tower to their tower, b, come back and 1v4 lol.

As long as it isn't first tower, then it is probably fine. Just make sure that you truly have the skill to keep your lane strong after that.

If you are losing lane VERY early and your opponent goes ahead and takes your tower, sure. It's actually to their advantage to not have the tower fall too soon. Don't do it for no reason though. Unless you are starting to feed a darius or something, don't just hand the enemy team free gold.

It's a Nasus strategy. Why you never push a tower with a nasus

I agree, if you can harass and farm easily. There's no reason to do this.
