Your one niche was destroyed by a rework to the item that was meant to fix its problem, but shifted it to do the opposite of what they said.

made to help AA champs. Takes away AS and increases lifesteal and AD on top of gutting the active. In what world does that buff the people who want to use the passive.

It literally went from a situational item to a trash tier item. RIP the few viable on hit builds that used the AS to help ramp the passive effect and other on hit effects.

You mention it being too core in on hit builds then dumpster it. What about in crit builds? / in lethality builds? in melee tank builds? by anyone and their mother who can abuse it?

Last time I checked on hit builds are the least of our worries in the current meta and hitting just reduces chances of winning if you don't build lethality.

Tbh, I wouldn't be so quick to judge the new botrk. It might be better on other champs.

Also lethality nerfed, so ad carries not named jhin mf and varus can actually come bot now.

BotRK is the staple on hit item. Lethality hasn't been nerfed nearly hard enough to push them out from dominant status. The change to BotRK is a straight up nerf. There is no benefit to the people who are meant to use the item and the justification contradicts the change.

Riot fucking dropped the ball super hard on this. This should have never made it past the PBE. Because currently on hit builds are technically the weakest builds in the game right now. Crits is better and lethality is better. The one saving grace of on hit builds is how well they scale. Removing AS from the core item for on hits completely ruins the power curve of on hit builds and leaves them with a gap that can't be filled in the current game. 15% AS is more important to people wanting the passive than the 25 AD. And the active went from a really good one, to one of the worst actives in the game.

You cannot justify this change at all. The only way you can is to say it was meant for AD stackers who want a different option for lifesteal, one that adds more DPS, but lowers burst. And the way Riot is justifying it is completely opposite of that.

Botrk is a worse onhit item now, yes.

But its definitly a better adc item. Why? simple because more life steal and the ad crits. ANd most ad's reach max AS at full build anyway.

Except the you realize that most ADCs that use this item are now in the gutter. RIP Ezreal KogMaw ( Vayne the healthy version of her at least) Kalista .

You can't take away the staple from one class and give it to another. It isn't fair especially when that class is already struggling.

I mean look at item 3087 item 3094 item 3046 . Look at how fucking similar they are. They couldn't of reworked one of those to create that niche. It wouldn't of boned an entire class of champs including those outside of the ADC role.

Yeah, this was an odd change. I have mixed feelings about it. Seems like it's only worth building on some ADCs now...the attack speed nerf doesn't seem like much, but it kind of is significant

P.S.: Aatrox got slapped twice this patch haha. A net nerf to his kit and one of his bread and butter items has its attack speed and active nerfed (Aatrox already has trouble getting attack speed items that have decent synergy with his kit. The fact that he now no longer has innate attack speed makes this change even more impactful...and before anyone even points out the AD buff on BotRK, Aatrox's AD ratios got nerfed soooo).

I mean anyone who can ignore AS for the most part to abuse double procs is going to almost always use item 3153 as long as it doesn't hurt their build. Doesn't really effect people like MasterYi Shyvana XinZhao because they already have ways to abuse it. But the people who build to synergize with their AAs instead of abilities are left without a core item.
