People need reminded on how MMR works, or, Riot should make it clear

I've spent the last week or so playing with and against people that are ranked Plat+ and flame others such as myself that wrapped up last season silver (I unfortunately started ranked a week before end, but I digress).

It's either im better than a 'rank', or I'm consistently facing shitty players(OK they're not shitty, just lower than their rank indicates).

Ultimately this is the problem, the matchmaking system should be extremely transparent. Riot, you support toxicity in your system by assigning an arbitrary rank based on WHEN you win your games. If you can't string 4 wins over 6 games at select times your MMR can rise, but you aren't getting the rank that other people see, regardless if their MMR lines up with it.

Normally, that would be true. However, it isn't the case this time around.

Flex Queue has had horrible matchmaking for the past few weeks due to issues with the algorithm. It was not uncommon to see Bronze and Silver players put into the same games as Diamond or Master players.

When Master and Diamond players are being placed in Bronze, there is an obvious issue with the system.

Actually a lot of this has occurred in Normals, non-ranked, but some people can't discern the difference.
