Soloing Dynamic Queue

OK, I don't mind Dynamic Queue at all for what it's supposed to be. However, in practice, it doesn't go well.

I just queued solo in normals and was matched up against a 5-man premade. They scoffed at me and said I was lying when I complained about being solo and getting matched up against groups. The most vocal member of their team said it was "impossible" that I was solo since they were a 5-man team and apparently only 5-man teams get matched against 5-man teams. If that's how Dynamic Queue works, then it's not working for me.

Why would I lie about that? And how DOES Dynamic Queue work?

Lol watch riots roundtable discussion on youtube. Scarra and gbay tell them this same thing and Riot goes "no your wrong that doesnt happen"..... Riot your jedi mindtricks need work

If they say "that doesnt happen" I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they are literally able to see how many premades are in the Dynamic Queue.

they want to make money off people begging their friends to play the game and get addicted be stomping 5 random people who just want to have fun and play competitively...its what the old folks call corrupt capitalism.

There is a 22% chance you will be faced vs 5 man premade.

Welcome to Riot's 1% chance.

bring back soloQ dynamicq is broken and useless and unwanted.

Normals are the same as they have always been. Matchmaking in normals is pretty bad, so I'm not super surprised to see a 5-man vs a 2-man + 3 solos. It's not impossible to get such a discrepancy in Dynamic Queue (ranked), but it's fairly unlikely at like gold and below.

DQ works by trying to find people of similar total mmr and similar party size. However if it can't find a suitable group it expands the search. Letting different group combinations and lower and higher elo into the search.

Well, 2 things.

1 its normals, they are much more relaxed about complete fairness in normals, but still try to achieve it. Still though, short queues are the #1 priority 2 you probably had a 4 man premade on your team, as that is the next likely option. However it is possible you had a 3 man or 2 duo queues, just much less likely.

That is likely correct. I honestly haven't seen anything from Riot guaranteeing that I would never ever be matched against groups.

However, what really annoyed me was the other team saying I was lying when I claimed to be solo. One of the other players on their team claimed to be Platinum and was lecturing me on how to play my champion, then when I said I was playing solo and just wanted to get a fair matchup, they told me I was a liar. I said my other teammates could vouch that they had never met me before, and they said they could lie about that too to cover up for the fact that we were getting stomped.

I was playing support for an Ashe who had no idea how to play Ashe. (I'm an Ashe main. Not claiming I'm the best but I know for certain not to pick Teleport instead of Flash.) I did not appreciate whatsoever being decimated in a game like that and then being told it was "my fault" for having a bad team.

I haven't played on SR in a long time and when today I finally decide to get back out there, here's what happened.

I get ready to solo queue and my first game is all other solos. It goes extremely well and everyone is super nice with each other, supporting each other.

We win

Second game goes exactly the same way, with solo players.

Third game.... I'm ashe and I'm with nunu support in bot. We have three premades on our team. The enemy has five.... three like us, but would having two solos mean they'd have two? LOL no.... They have a duo premade, on top of the three premades.

It turns out nunu is new or not great at support and we're tilting each other hard, while the premades are blaming me for us losing and me feeding. I was 1-2 but to them that's feeding.

The game goes on and it's Ashe kill yourself, you too nunu, just kill yourself. Look at this ashe best ADC... blah blah blah. All kinds of toxic garbage.

I'm happy to say I ended up 24-4 and carried the little punks to victory. One they shouldn't have gotten.

Solo Dynamic Queue is ruined by premades. Dynamic Queue is ruined by premades. This game is ruined by premades.

Dynamic queue works just like that. You can literally have this

Solo Q + Solo Q + Solo Q + Solo Q + Solo Q + VS Team of 5

They just make the Solo Q individuals MMR be higher than the Team of 5 and say it's balanced.

I know I'm going to be downvoted to oblivion, but SoloQ isn't being asked by the majority of players, only by the majority of this forum and probably high end players. I personally don't miss SoloQ, but I agree that DynamicQ isn't even near being called the perfect solution, but for context, I asked all my local friends (Silver ranking, play both ranked and normal games, which is most likely the common player denominator) and 8 out of 9 prefer the new queue.

So yeah, I understand your gripes, but people screaming for SoloQ is a very loud minority, to be honest. That being said, I hope that a middle ground can be met soon, probably holding the new ranked system but limiting big time how premades can be played as to not fuck Solo players over.

Just for clarification, I have no issue with Dynamic Queue in itself. I haven't had an egregiously bad experience and I don't get what all the fuss for Solo Queue is all about. I just didn't like

A.) getting matched up several times against groups with high elo experience, B.) being called a liar.

The thing is no one had an issue with dynamic queue for a while UNTIL RIOT LIED TO US. That's when all of the Bring back solo queue dynamic queue sucks threads came out. I find dynamic queue a nuisance I liked solo/duo queue better as I mostly play solo or with one friend. I've used dynamic queue before and the trio queue feature is nice if multiple friends are on at once however in addition to solo queue this would've been fantastic. On its own it gets annoying being a solo with a 4 man group or a duo with a trio vs a group of five. It's just a flawed system and sure queue times would be an issue if both were implemented in its current state. Queues of four would have an impossible time finding a game. If riot came through on there promise and did something like a solo queue separate and also a dynamic queue of duos trios and fives the number of people complaining falls drastically. And what they did to 5s with the time constraints is honestly just kinda bullshit they did to make dynamic queue look better. I never have my team of 5 on at the times 5s are active we all get on late at night and want to play a few but look at that queue is inactive as its only up during the day when people have work or school. Okay rant over overall dynamic queue is Meh I dislike it I can see why some people do like it id give it a 4/10 decent idea terrible execution

Sounds like you just had bad luck. Like, I solo a lot in Dynamic and I can't tell the difference between a 5 man and a bunch of solos.

Like, once they did some lane swap shit that made me go "ok they are communicating" but that could have easily been just the 2 guys.
