Just had a ranked game where a Riven picked Riven just to see her new golden chroma, and the Kassadin she was duo'd with admitted to never playing Kassadin before. Quote by Riven: "Don't worry about it, it's just bronze."

Kassadin proceeded to feed, Diana got fed. Our Shyvana was bad anyway but she at least helped push lanes. But in the end, Diana absolutely slaughtered us and I got demoted.

Why is this OK? Why is it OK to do whatever you want because it's "just bronze"? I'm just positively frustrated, I'm trying to do my very best, I'm playing the champs I can function my very best on, I give it my all when I play ranked. I finally was knocking on the door of silver and now I'm knocked back down.

I don't know what this thread is supposed to accomplish. I just wanted to vent. I hate how I give my very best and others don't care. Why couldn't they just play normals? I don't flame much and I held it all in during the match. I tried so hard to keep calm and carry. But I just got so upset knowing my fate had already been sealed that by the time I reached the end game lobby, I had to do everything I could to keep from swearing. I don't want to have to play with these people anymore. I want to play with better people that I can learn from, not this bronze dumpster fire.

Can this be reported? Probably not, I know. I'm just so upset and it just crushes me that I do my very best to help my team and others don't respect that.

Just act REALLY offended by something they did like typical millennials these days, call them toxic and ask for reports in all chat, and hopefully Riot will cater to you and punish them.

So, what I found is SOME people treat lower ranked games (one caveat below) similar to normal or bots. It's what they play 'normally' so they treat it like normals. Perhaps they aren't concernted about rank, but their friends play ranked so they do to. Or they've tried to climb and haven't had luck so they just keep hammering away at it, like a foreigner taking a driver license test in english - even if they don't know the language, eventually they'll answer enough multiple-choice questions correctly and they'll pass the test.

  • caveat: 'lower' ranked games will vary based experience. To a Plat, gold is a lower-ranked game. To a silver, bronze might be lower.

Source: I work at a DMV. I'm bronze 5. (bronze II on a smurf). I always try hard even though I suck. When I play ranked I 'try' to win. I never expect to win - that just sets me up for dissapointment. But I alwasy try. Screwing around? Checking a new skin or Chromos? That's for Bots, Arams, and 'normals' (in that order). Even then I'll always try to succeed. I'm not a serious hardcore player, by any means. But I still try to win.
