There needs to be a trinity force focused spellblade based overhaul
This is in response to the recent call out of nerfing the trinity force synergy with steraks
Of course the main focus start is trinity force. This item is way to much of a one item spike that every user has to rush it absolutely first or be simply non functional compared to any other class core items. This item needs to actually have it's power quite heavily reduced for it's rush front load strength and shift it's power to scaling up with other items. This item needs to have it's power as a first item buy be brought down to be closer to 3000-3300 even if it means numbers in the item's stats and even the spellblade need to be reduced. I think this item needs to have it's ball of stats idea removed and shift power into making it a more of an item that scales closer with carry focused stats (like AD and/or attack speed) for the boosting of the spellblade power.
Next is ice born gauntlet. This item is the bar that makes it so trinity force can't have it's power reduced too much or it will simply lose favor to IGB. The other issue it causes is that it's niche of slowing + AoE has too much overlap with the combo of frozen mallet and Thydra (melee) and runaans (ranged). This item does well in having it's power scale up with building defensive items, but rather than having overlap with Thydra and frozen mallet, why not improve the synergy of the 3 items in a way that more encourages building all them all together, make it's power scale with health.
Last spellblade on the list is lich bane. This item has really fallen out of favor quite a bit for even the AP champs that do synergize with it well. Although this item does do well in the theme of it's focus, it could use improvements in the design and tuning of it's focus to be more in line to being equal in it's offering towards AP users as trinity force is to AD users and IBG is to tank users. It would also open up another option on top of nashoors of a auto focused AP scaling build, through the combo of nashoors current passive and lich bane giving increased base AD from %AP scaling.
For all three of the sheen upgrades make the bonus offerings instead of making it different spellblade scaling based off of their focus, keep the spellblade %value closer to sheens value (100%-125%) and add passives that increase base AD by whatever scaling focus the item would have: AD and/or attack speed for tinity force; bonus or max health for IBG; AP for lich bane, while limiting them in a similar fashion as the 2 hydra's or the ornn upgrades of being allowed to only build one.
The next groups of focus would be re-tuning to overhauling items that are part of the core use of the trinity force users.
I think tiamat should be build out of daggers and of course change it's base stat from AD to attack speed. Although the passive does offer scaling from AD it does also offer bonus from attack speed with only one of the 2 upgrades benefiting from more AD while both would benefit from attack speed. From there jaraums fist can be switched out from titanic hydra with it only offering health and attack speed in it's base stats and the scaling of it's passive can be appropriately adjusted. Similarly so for ravenous hydra adjusting to offer attack speed as well as AD would open it up to being more appealing to a wider group of users overall.
At that point it can be appropriate to remove steraks interaction of increasing base AD percent removing it's extreme ties to sheen as the 3 spellblades will have a stronger focus on what they offer in a way that scales with a wider variety of items to a point that sterak's wont need to be tied to the current trinity force in the extreme way it is.
