Thinking about it, why can Kennen still use his ult in Zhonya's?

Ryze's ability to use his ult while in zhonya's was removed because it was too powerful, but here we have Kennen who has ALWAYS been an annoying little rat able to chain stun an entire group while taking no return damage just by flashing into the enemy team and pressing two buttons. I've never liked Kennen and always thought he had a problematic design but no one plays him hardly so we overlook him, but this I feel needs at least some consideration considering the scope of the effect on his abilities.

Because it's not a channeled ability.

This post is pure ignorance. In order for Ken to deal damage, he needs to run through each enemy and then press W when they are all marked. If all he did was press R while in range and then zhonyas, he will do no significant damage and therefore can be ignored. Ken is one of the weakest champions right now. That's why no one plays him. People like to win and you can't do that consistently with Ken.

Because going into 5 enemies is kind of inting if he doesn't have Zhonia , and to use his ult to the fullest , he has to do that move every time Ryze was simply free safety every single time and was nerfed because of pro play anyway

Only reason Ryze was removed is because he had too much safety with Zhonya's and ult and basically could escape at no cost to himself and very little interaction with the enemy. Kennen basically has to put himself in danger and even if he Zhonya's there's a chance he's dead either way. It's a high risk high reward sort of thing.

No, he's not overlooked at all. Everyone knows that he can do that and they also know because that is how things normally work in League. Ryze was the exception, an exception that has been removed.

The same reason why Swain Fiddlesticks can. It's their job to engage and run in to enemies. Without it they'd just be inting. That's the opposite of what Ryze does. Ryze sits far back and throws in shots from a safer distance. The ult zhonyas was just giving him far too much safety on a champ that is supposed to be in real trouble when caught out

maybe because kennen ulti is not ryze ulti? its closer to morgana/neeko who can also zhonya in ulti , and if you wonder why those can and ryze cant its because ryze zhonya have no real counter (other then what? reaching the other side before he got away?) meanwhile you can just walk out of kennen/neeko/morgana ults.
